Nexus 7 arrived yesterday. Very nice, very portable. I can see why you would take this and leave your 10.1 Tab at home. Will be looking at adding some useful apps tonight.

On Android the choice of manufacturers is quite large, if you want an Iphone you go to Apple so who are Apple competing with.

Of course it will sell shed loads. If they stick to minor upgrades every other year then the Iphone 6 will need to be a massive leap or be left way behind.

Just read an article on the BBC website about the iphone and apple, and in it the author states that Apple spend only 2% of their revenues on R&D. Google and Microsoft spend 14%. Steve Jobs I suspect would not be happy at the leaks and not be happy with the new phone.

Not great is it. What will be very interesting is if the big players all bring out top specced nexus handsets, Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony & HTC. You would then at least have a choice of skinned or vanilla from your favoured manufacturer. I do wonder why they bother skinning them now.

The reason I ditched my Iphone 4 for Android was that I had got bored of the interface and the way it works. I just wonder how much longer Apple can go on tweaking the iOS with making a major change to compete with Android & Windows because if someone gave you an Iphone 3 and a new iphone 5 the GUI is primarily the same 5+years on.

There are lots of stuff on the Note which is built in to Touchwiz. The Note just wouldnt work as a pure Android device.

It will be very interesting to see how the new iphone is received tomorrow as from whats been leaked its still a long long way behind top end Android handsets. Tech magazines and websites will have to at some point bite the bullet and start to be a little brutal when it comes to reviewing apple devices or they risk losing their credibility.

Nexus is quad core running jellybean while the kindle is dual core running a heavily skinned version of ICS. It won't have the play store so you will be limited to what Amazon want to sanction to their appstore. It won't have Google search but will use Bing and I am sure I read that it will be using Nokia mapping software rather than Google maps. It won't have NFC or GPS. I am struggling to see any benefit to buying a Kindle over the Nexus an installing the Amazon stuff you want. Plenty of online reviews pointing out the benefits an pitfalls of both tablets.

For some reason even knowing the screen is too small I have ordered a Nexus 7.........why!!! My daughters Ainol Elf II lasted about 8 weeks before the lcd screen (not the touchscreen part) cracked as she played a game on it. Lesson learned dont buy cheap chinese crap. Bought a 5 inch Galaxy Wifi of ebay for a hundred quid and she loves it

What else can Apple do with it iOS6 has leaked which gives away a big portion of what else the phone will offer. Difficult to offer a better screen, just bigger, better camera? Maybe NFC?. They have hit the same technology buffers that Android has.

None of the Motos launched yesterday have what I would call edge to edge display or are running Jellybean which is just unforgivable considering who now owns Motorola. I think the Droid RazrM is the one being launched in London next week.

Surely write not right. I cannot think of a single reason why Samsung would want to buy Nokia apart from patents which I am sure microsoft will want to keep hold of. Nokia look pretty much dead in the water.

Moto are bigger in the USA than anywhere else, The phone looks great, could be a winner if it runs stock android.
