This is about as difficult as a prediction for a season as I can remember. I wouldn't be surprised to see us challenging the top eight, as I trust in Lambert and his judgement. But at the same time, I wouldn't be too surprised to see us struggle again with our young and inexperienced squad. Either way, there'll never be a dull moment.

It's just what I think they will be, not what I would prefer. I gave Ireland 7 as I can't see anyone wanting him, and he won't give it up as it's his preferred number. I like Andi as 26 anyways, can see him keeping it. Truth be told, even though I gave Benteke 9, Lowton 2 and Guzan 1, I like players who have good breakout seasons to keep the same number. Angel scored a tonne with 18, and as soon as he switched to 9 he was rubbish. Superstitious I guess.

Guzan Lowton - Vlaar/Okore - Baker/Clark - Luna/Bennett Sylla/Bacuna - Westwood/El Ahmadi - Delph/Gardner Weimann - Benteke - Gabby/Tonev The centre back situation is interesting. All of them I feel are solid enough to be starting games (despite last season's performances) so it'll be very interesting to see how we line up.

I don't know if Banega would be suited to the Premier League to be honest. Plus he has a history off the field problems which I highly doubt Lambert would be willing to put up with.

Lambert needs his creative player yet. He had Hoolahan for that at Norwich. I think we enquired about Belhanda but didn't get any further. Kiyotake sounds like he might be the next target.
