I honestly think there's a top, top player in there somewhere. He has such potential. Comfortable on the ball, great long range passing, and can keep things ticking over. I just can't see him ever being much more than he is now if he stays here, which is unfortunate because I think given a solid season of two of being first choice he would really blossom.

Honestly, I think a place in the hall of fame is a but much.Would he have got in if he didn't have the diesese? I don't think so. Sentiment has won over on that one imo. Don't get me wrong, what he's managed off the field is wonderful, battling such a horrid illness. But his performances on the pitch haven't warranted an inclusion into our select list of just 12 players in the hall of fame. Hate to be a buzzkill.

I can't see Wijnaldum wanting to join us as I would say he would fancy a bigger club than us. Van Ginkel might be an option, but I can also see bigger teams being in for him.

Don't know. It's not like they're similar players. Lambert said in his presser yesterday that he wanted a target man type player, and while Bony is decent in the air he aint especially tall.

Well we know the management like him as we were 90% done on a deal just before deadline day, until Vitesse moved the goalposts at the last second. Could be one of those transfers where you say "what if". We got Benteke anyways so it turned out alright I guess.

We'd certainly be stupid not to consider £30m for a player we paid about £7m for only a few months ago. I agree. But I also think it would do more damage than good by selling him. We have what looks to be a special talent, and the disappointment of him moving on will make the whole good vibe around the club of late totally detiriorate.
