Who would you suggest they is realistically 'gettable'. I love how some posters are quick to say no to a suggestion but can't think of any themselves.

Realistically speaking, at this time who is a better suggestion than Shaun Derry for DCM? According to the general consensus, we have little or no money to spend, and a two pence piece for wages. To me that suggests league 1/2players and maybe the scrapings of the championship. At least Derry has prem experience and experience of a relegation fight.

Wow...I'm a school teacher myself, and reading this forum I feel like I'm going to have to tell you all off. Petty squabbling on an internet forum really does make you look small time. Back on track. I think if Vlaar and Dunne can get back to full fitness then the need for a CB will be reduced until the summer. We are desperate for somebody in midfield who can get stuck in and is not lightweight, overpaid and distinctly average at best (ala Delph, Bannan, Ireland). I would personally (without sounding mad) go for someone like Shaun Derry on a short term contract. Will be soon ousted at QPR, no nonsense, gets stuck in, has experience of a relegation battle. All of you who are thinking about top european players like Sissoko and Coutinho are not being realistic. We are about to be shunted out of the Premier League and we are not attractive to any top players. We need a bit of experience and a bit of fight. Aim for the likes of Coutinho in the summer after a bit of investment.

zero football experience? you are quite right, i have no experience of football at all, what is it? what do you do with one? is it a type of cheese? on topic...my point was that it seems odd to me that they don't appear to be at training very much during the week. I assume they are doing other things though, but what i'm not sure. i trust lambert however that we will come good.

That's Thursday last week, Friday last week and now today they haven't been training. Maybe there's a good reason for it, but when we have 1 point from 3 games I think they should be training more

A random thought, but after 2 seasons of Houllier doing a poor job and then AM doing worse...plus reading on here and listening to radio phone ins how fans offer suggestions of what should be done differently to improve the side... How about just appointing a coach to be a caretaker of the team, and for us fans to pick the starting 11 each week via a vote, would save the nerves during a summer transfer window when looking for a manager!

Actually quite glad that OGS is no longer happening. Think Villa fans are naturally wearing rose tinted glasses so that ANYONE we are linked with is a massive step up from AM. I could only foresee an OGS team full of Utd loan players and big fishes from Norway struggling to swim in the premiership. But then, think i'm just overly fussy, no idea who I truly want - no one is good enough for me!

Not claiming to be an ITK before you all start having a go at me. A family member of mine works in London, and has had business dealings with Villa. The strong rumours circulating are that Moyes is first choice, but is having a tough time being persuaded. Again, im NOT an ITK, this is just what i've heard.
