In the Premiership? Deeney has scored 48 (inc 19 penalties) in 163 games. Wesley has scored 5 in 20 games

Not sure how you get 8 a season because that's over 5 and a half seasons of playing for Watford which calculates at about 5 goals a season (nowhere near Wesleys average) Anyway it's a complete non starter - Thank McGrath

In 163 games excluding penalties Deeney has scored 29 goals and that is a good enough reason in itself why we should'nt and won't go near him!!

Yes you will get battered for that. Deeney only gets 4 or 5 a season if you take away penalties and we don't get penalties. There may be another problem with him as well but i can't just remember what it is!!!

I seriously ( as you put it) believe Smith knows exactly what is happening, ie We'll get the signings he wants and we can afford before the window shuts. By the way i am not a "lemming" as you put it but i do understand the way transfers happen

The actual transfer fee isn't the problem for FFP because the outgoing fee is balanced by the incoming value on the books. The problem is the wages and length of contract ( for amortization). This is what affects FFP but this has been explained a thousand times on this site!!!

No it really doesn't. We found out about the deal that Wilson was offered, decided that it wasn't for us and if the reports are true spoken to Liverpool about a very exciting prospect. I really can't see the problem there!!

Come on lads Lets wait and see. It 's no good slagging off possible signings before they've kicked a ball for us. I reckon Cash will be an excellent signing so would Watkins and Swift. They all fit the profile. If we persuade Eduoard as well this would be a big step up for us
