Ithink Sansons injury had a lot to do with it. Wolves tightened up and denied us space after half time but our midfield, which had been very good
in the first period , disappeared after that and we lost control. So you're right it was a bit of both
Have you really watched Watkins shot? Patricio was absolutely nowhere need it! Konsa 2 misses were just as glaring as Wolves misses and of course they cleared off the line from Ollie at the end.
All in all a fair result
It really wasn't an awful game and no-one was a disgrace. A point and a clean sheet against a side who finished 7th last season is not too bad
considering who was missing. There's no need to make that sort of comment about a player. We have had a more than acceptable 2nd season
with more to come. Be satisfied with the massive improvement we've made
This is spot on. Our best wide player has been Watkins when he moves out there. I wonder if Dean is thinking of bringing
in a CF ie Tammy or Edouard or similar and playing Ollie wider
Anybody can beat anybody on a single day. One result means nothing if the rest of the season has been dreadful
West Brom have drawn at Man Utd Man C and at home to Chelsea and they are going down for sure!!
You're argument about Sheff Utd doesn't hold water They are very poor and we should win
Well to be honest we got played off the pitch at VP and were dead lucky to draw 1-1 so the chances of getting through on a plastic pitch
in Moscow even with a full team was pretty slim. We had a home game with Stoke on the Saturday which I should think M'ON prioritized
However as we know we threw a 2 goal lead away then too and fade away from the prized top 4 place
For instance maybe:
Wins Brighton a Wolves h Newcastle a Sheff Utd a Fulham h WBA h Palace a
Draws Leicester h Everton a Chelsea h spurs h
Defeats Leeds a Liverpool a Man City h Man Utd h Spurs a Everton a
Obviously results may be way different to that but it is a nice sign of how it could turn out
No Ajax was a group game We beat Slavia Prague away next but then lost at home to Zilina (Delfouneso scored for us) and Hamburg away but qualified in 3rd place
We then famously lost to CSKA Moscow over 2 legs in the last 32 round
Arsenal fans must be getting desperate if they think Konsa has done anything wrong there. He is clearly fouled by Saka.
If the Ref had got that wrong and sent Konsa off it would certainly have got overturned. If VAR looked at that why on earth
did they not tell the Ref to revoke the Yellow card?
