    maybe get a game against arse tonight? as in all fairness a midfield of Bannan - Petrov - Delph would get hammered by arsenal, would much rather see a 4-4-2 with him and petrov in the centre! on another note (OT) hope Graham Burke gets on tonight!!

    agreed this is the team we should play week in, week out...... much more of a threat on the break! only additions in jan would be a rbk (can dream) and a playmaker. if we get to the 60/70th minute and 2-0 or 3-0 up then bring bannan or ireland and delfouneso, or weimann. (cant remember if he's on the bench)

    hmmm so by the sounds of it we may be bringing in a few more players in jan/summer 2012 if by the "adressing the issue of more going out than in? I would guess instead of you Sidwell's, Harewoods... etc we will end up buying younger prospects from other teams; e.g. Lewis Dunk, Younes Belhanda. in all fairness Randy's trying to do whats right in the future for AVFC an you have to commend him for that.

    haha like it dodgy knees well this "is" an aston villa fans forum and forums are used to discuss opinion SGC, your opinion may be that McEachran is better than GG, fair play to you, but in my opinion Mceachran had been VERY hyped up by the press as he came through as a 17year old, GG would have been in that position had he not had his injury which lets not forget set him back a good year or so! Gardner is more of a box to box midfielder and Mceachrans more of a deeper playmaker if FM and MOTD tells me anything.

    McEachrans not that good in my opinion... (villa biased ) but gardners a better midfielder in my opinion!!!
