The worst thing hasn't been the results, but the performances. Apart from Chelsea and Man Utd we have been consistently awful. The form table and current standings do not lie at all. Our squad looks like it has less morale than a fluffer. Our manager is clueless. So frustrating. Something is massively wrong at Villa. It's either the squad or the manager and as we don't have time to replace 10-15 players this month there really is only one other option.

Houllier out tomorrow. Then spend until Jan 15th sorting out a new manager and give him two weeks to bring in his own players. It took us 3-4 weeks to get Houllier and that has to be the worst managerial decision of the season. All these Liverpool fans crying over Hodgson...well he isn't going to get you **** relegated. Houllier out. Lambert in.

Sack him or give him £35m to revamp the squad in all departments. Otherwise we will lose more than that when we get relegated.

On SSN it quotes GH as saying we need "1 or 2 players in January and we will be fine." **** that, we need 6 players at least... LB - ? RB - Looks like Walker CB - Samba? CM - Makoun? CAM - Sessegnon? ST - ? Clearly won't happen but needs to if we are to stay in this division. BIG changes and now. No more **** about.

Houllier can not get anything out of a top 6 squad minus Milner but plus an out of sorts Ireland. We are not an 18th in the league squad. I honestly can't see how bringing in 2 or 3 players will help. The tactics, management style and general feeling around the club are the issue, not the entire 25 man squad. Unless GH brings in 8 players we are screwed as he has alienated a lot of the squad. If I were Randy I would think long and hard about letting Houllier spend money when we are rotting from the inside.

The sickening thing is I really thought we'd turned a corner against Chelsea but the truth is we were really just two minutes from losing 3-2 and luckily got a good equaliser from shit Chelsea defending. A message to Randy. My daughter was born today and it has been an awesome day. Complete my day and sack Houllier. I can't back him any more.

I will be astonished if Randy sticks by him now. And also disappointed. We can not keep this crap up anymore. Good performance for 1 game gets us 1 point quickly followed by 3 shit performances and 3 defeats. We are shit and Houllier is taking us down. It's a shame because I really like him and wanted him to succeed but Aston Villa is the most important thing and Lerner needs to act now.

Agreed. We are now 17th and playing like it too. Very concerned at the minute. Other teams seem to be able to grind out wins. Let's hope the Chelsea game wasn't just a one off.

I think GH has 2 games to save his job. A loss tomorrow and anything other than a win on Wednesday and Villa Park will be a cauldron of rage aimed at Houllier and GMAC.

Randy needs to get us out of it. Paul Faulkner is useless as far as i'm concerned. All these PR bullshit interviews are just treating the fans like mugs. Houllier out, McAllister out. We are shit. Thanks chaps.

My issue, and so far it is something that has grated on me all season, is that we play well (like today) and often don't get what we deserve. However, when we play badly we always, and I mean always, get nothing. That to me is relegation form/luck. Something needs to change and I do not want another PR interview with a club Exec saying Randy's commitment has not changed. January will tell us the truth. I can understand if Randy wants to pull back the spending but tell us. We are not kids. We can take the truth. Well, some of us can.

Thank you OBE. I agree entirely. I was devestated at the end of the game but I think we will make some great strides if we can bring in a goal scorer. I'm all for giving Houllier time for the benefit of the club but my question is does Houllier see that we need a goal scorer? Will he go out and get one in January?

Got a feeling these will be the signature keys for the rest of the season. How much time does the new manager want? We've only got 18 matches left and we need to start picking up points somewhere or we will be sucked into a relegation fight. I'd trade us being terrible but winning matches - MON style - for the rubbish we are playing at the moment. It may be pretty but it doesn't win matches or even get points. Sorry, but someone has to start spelling this out loud and clear. Funny enough though the MON style never won these games. And we've got 20 games left. 60 points. We're still shit though.

I would find it bizarre if Lerner let Young's contract run down as it makes no financial sense. Instead of selling Young for £20m we pay him £4.5m over the next 18 months and let him walk for nothing at the end of his contract. That's a loss of £24m or so vs. what we can get now for him. Granted I'd much rather see him stay and sign a new deal as he is our best player but if we could use that money to strengthen elsewhere then I would do it, especially he will not sign a new deal.

Hopefully will have finished Oblivion by then. Will probably wait for a GOTY edition or heavily patched version before playing as I know the early Oblivion versions were riddled with bugs and the GOTY Oblivion is brilliant.

My question would really be do the players want him? I'm not saying that this would happen but if there is a hint of unrest at VP, which could be the case judging by GH's recent comments and the players attitudes on the pitch, do any fans think that players would purposefully not play at 100% to try to get poorer results to manage Houllier out of the club. Again, I'm not saying it would happen but given recent performances and fan unrest is it feasible for the players to do this? Personally I would hope not as it would show a complete lack of respect for the club that pays the players wages but you never know. All I do know is that anything but a win on Saturday and the % of No's on here will increase dramatically. Houllier is on borrowed time.

Hi General, I was one of those clearly outraged by Houllier's actions and comments, and am still disappointed that ignoring the Villa fans is meant to be seen as humourous. However, for the good of the club I feel that it is important to get behind the players regardless of who is in charge. I appreciate your attempts at fire fighting on here but I would say that it indicates the severity of GH's comments and how it has hurt a number of fans that this thread has increased drastically in size since Monday night. I will still cheer on the lads come Saturday as every fan should, however deep down I think that our current manager has burnt a lot of bridges that will take much more than a club statement to repair. I do want Houllier to succeed though as he is a likeable character. Let's hope he can turn things around.
