So would people rather Lambert stays and we sign Sinclair and Gil, or we sign nobody but replace the manager? I just don't understand where the manager we thought we were getting from Norwich seems to have disappeared to.

Losing Vlaar and Delph and bringing in Sinclair, Januzaj (loan) and Dembele would certainly improve the squad. We have enough CB's to cover for the loss of Vlaar and a midfield with Sanchez and Dembele in it would be good. Januzaj and Sinclair either side of Benteke isn't that bad either. Shit, I'd be happy with this, which means it probably won't happen.

I think Benteke is probably worth the same but our tool of a chairman would probably accept 20m.

If we spent £50m on Townsend, Dembele, Ings (who is out of contract in the summer) and Austin I think I would just give up on football altogether. We should be looking at teams like Southampton and trying to bring in more quality/cheap players from abroad whilst continuing to bring through some of our youth players. If Lambert had £50m to spend I would hope that he could unearth a few more Okore's and Benteke's and fewer Sylla's, Bennett's, Luna's, Tonev's etc etc.

Aaron Lennon could be off to Stoke for 6m. We should be looking at him and Salah (loan) to play either side of Benteke. Sadly won't happen though as Lambert seems to just enjoy watching Agbonlahor and Weimann running around like they were his kids at the park.

Mikael Mandron gets really good on this game. Got an attacking four of Alcacer, Batshuayi, Mandron and Lukaku for Villa through some ridiculous wheeling and dealing. Got Joel Campbell in my first window for 1.5m and sold him for 31.5m in Jan the same season. Also made a 40m profit on Varane between 2 windows. Do like how the computer seems to splurge massive amounts on your players compared to Fifa 14.

I think its a bit of a cop out to lay lack of creativity at the owner. We're 2 and a half years into Lambert's reign, we should be better than we are in this respect and not have to rely on money to make it better. Here here, blame Lerner for Lambert's inadequacies. Asking Lerner to open his cheque book suggests that we need players that Lambert has failed to buy in 2 and a half years. In addition, our lack of goals means that we will be in a relegation battle. Lack of goals is a real concern. If Benteke is poor then we have no chance.
