  1. About the only good thing about the UK at the current time is that religion is dying on its repulsive, bigoted arse. Comuunity spirit indeed. Thanks for the bigoted reply
  2. I'm not religious but I think as a country we are missing the moral guidance and community spirit religion brings. Shame there isn't a non-religious alternative at the same scale. We could do with it.
  3. It's scary Julie feeling so out of control over your future and knowing people like Alessio have the power. There seems to be no guilt to it all. I can see his point of view about opportunity and self preservation but I don't think I could live with the guilt.
  4. Can we not change the title of this thread now? It annoys me every time I read 'Best yet to come'.
  5. I agree. The last two Villa players who had shoulder injuries didn't exactly set the footballing world on fire - Luke Moore and Curtis Davies (Edit - due in part to the original and subsequent recurrences of injury I would think BOF)
  6. Ireland has technical and attacking abilities. If McNose is confused by skillful players like Hleb and Bentley, do you really think Ireland has a chance? Hence the 'If'. Different team, different time, benefit of hindsight, but it's still an 'If'.
  7. If Big Eck knows how to use him to his strengths. Houllier seemingly didnt or Ash young kept him out of his favoured position and that will now be available.
  8. If AM does become manager we can forget about buying Foster for a decent price with understandable animosity from the Blues board.
  9. Awful. I believe the locals called it "anti-fitba" or words to that effect. Damn I was hoping for some positives
  10. What was Mcleish's style of play like when at Rangers? Maybe that would be more indicative of how he would play at Villa than at Birmingham. Any great signings up there when the club had some pulling power? I ask as I don't know myself. Thanks.
  11. Anyone who knows it will be Hughes is saying nothing or deflecting the issue so as not to pay any compensation and do things by the book. A new name is circulated every few days to keep time ticking and Hughes goes about his planning.
  12. That is my opinion. I don't think given Everton's financial constraits at this time that hughes would quit Fulham for Everton.
  13. I don't think the Everton job is much bigger than the Fulham job. I would be suprised if Hughes quit Fulham for that.
  14. +1 in the Pro Hughes camp if a WOW appointment isn't on offer. We might not be able to compete with the financial big boys but I don't think they'd look forward to playing us once he had some time at the helm, i.e. a season. I want some fight and passion or strength and honour as they say in Gladiator, (in addition to decent football) and Mark Hughes gives me the impression that his players would fight for him and get as close to honour as is possible in this day and age.
  15. I hope you're right and that he does join us, if not someone even better who we didn't think we could attract.
  16. But Hughes is already there and he might like to see how far he can take Fulham. I'd be happy to have him here though.
  17. Sky are saying its Fulham now not Blackpool
  18. Hughes will stay with Fulham I think now that they are in Europe via the Fair play system.
  19. to the tune of agadoo by black lace. Darren bent, bent, bent, he scores 1,2 and 3 Darren bent bent bent he is pure quality, from the left and the right he can score all through the night Darren bent bent bent his worth the money that we spent Or, (if you'll allow me): Darren bent, bent, bent, he scores 1,2 and 3, Darren bent bent bent he is pure quality, from the left, from the right, with his head and on the floor, Darren bent bent bent, worth his transfer fee and more!
  20. He reminds me of Collymore and his time at the Villa in the sense that we will be the only team to lose a load of money on him and he was at a crossroads mentally.
  21. Cheers Justified. Shows how much impact he made at Stoke. I'd forgot he'd gone there as well!
  22. When did Fulham sign eidur gudjohnsen on loan? I must have missed that. He's in line to play so I read. Don't know if he's any good these days though.
