  1. I remember hearing Derek Boateng had been colossal for Dnipro in the Europa leauge this seaspm. They topped there group with Napoli and PSV convincingly by 6 points. I personally think he'd be a very good signing for us at this moment in time, alongside maybe another midfielder.
  2. Clock is ticking Villa. Tick tock, tick tock.
  3. Arsenal were close to signing M'Vila and Redknapp has even said he tried and failed to sign him at Spurs.
  4. Jammy bastards. Both players more so M'Vila have been linked with top 4 clubs in recent months. QPR must have wages to burn if they managed to sign those two. Hurry up Villa, sign some quality! You'd think they didn't know the January transfer window was coming...
  5. Indeed, lets not forget our away game at QPR, we were under the kosh at their place for most of the game. They are not as bad as some people think. M'Vila and Remy will help them a lot too.
  6. So January 15th and finally have a link in Moussa Sissoko, then Kendrick said look on it as a "possible rather than a probable..." Come on Randy/Paul/Lambo, pull your finger out and get a bloody move on. We're going through such an important run of games now, we need these players bedded in as soon as possible if we to stand a much better chance of surviving!
  7. If Reading win this weekend and we lose, they go above us and likely out of relegation zone. QPR are only 5 points off safety and Reading 3 points. It is tight as fook, I wouldn't rule any of them out.
  8. Harry Redknapp is such a hypocrite. Comes to QPR, moans about the regime of players picking up huge wages, then signs a foreign player who is having a poor season and offers £80k a week to him.
  9. Brilliant... Relegation rival now has some fire power and quality.
  10. People forgetting how shit Scott Dann has been since getting injured for SHA a couple of years back? I remember Blackburn fans ripping him and he doesn't appear to be doing that good in the championship. Made Grant Hanley look good in Blackburns failed battle to stave off relegation. I wouldn't waste our money. How about Johnny Heitinga? On the fringe at Everton and looks to be on the way out of there, international team mate of Vlaar too.
  11. The lack of urgency in the transfer market is disturbing, right now we seem the club in the most trouble on the pitch in the league. Even Reading and QPR are getting results. The fact relegation rivals like Sunderland (N'Daye), Newcastle (Remy, Debuchy), and QPR (M'Vila and many more by the sounds) are strengthening with quality is painful to see as a Villa fan. Even Reading have signed a couple of players. Harry at QPR seems to be on a plane every few days watching players, is Lambert doing this?
  12. Well thats depressing! Just shows where Randy Lerner's ambitions now lay with our club.
  13. Our strikers have respectable goal numbers, our problem is, no one else in the team chips in. Benteke 9 and and Weimann 8, plus a few for Bent in games he has played. We don't need strikers right, we need to improve the crap that's behind them.
  14. Why do a lot people think we are almost certainly signing Dale Stephens? Now Ashley Westwood is back, why would he be what we need? Westwood's injury wasn't as bad as first thought. Didn't we sign him instead of Stephens?
  15. Lowton has been good for us, but the season does seem to be catching up with him. Not entirely surprising as it's his first season in the Premier League and he had played every match up until the Ipswich game.
  16. We knew about Benteke for a good week or so before he came. Also El Ahmadi a fair few days. Westwood was a surprise, a couple of days notice with Lowton and their were rumblings about Bennett for a while. The only things we have heard in the papers this time have been Countino (denied) and Lescott (no go). We desperatley need players in now, at least as soon as possible.
  17. I blumin well hope we're in for Moussa Sissoko, Newcastle apparantly trying to get him for a cut price according to this evenings newspapers reports, as little as £3.5m as out of contract in summer. There in just as bad form as us and only 1 point ahead of us. He would be a presense in midfield!
  18. Villa_Source chats absolute bollocks, he had about 2 followers the day before the transfer window opened. Some people seem to believe anything they read on Twitter. A lot of these ITK's that people believe end up coming out and saying they are wind up merchants. On the other hand those quotes from Countinho's agent about us sound promising. If we signed him, don't think the guy by himself would be the answer to our midfield problems, we'd still need a reasonably experienced leader or destroyer in there.
  19. He put in plenty of effort vs Ipswich and scored. He had one great chance and missed it. To call him evil and that he is deliberatly missing goals is one of the most ridicolous thing's I've heard. He's been known to miss sitters in the past.
  20. Our best player last night, but that's not saying much. The thing I like about Zog, is unlike many of our players, he is desperate to take players on. If he keeps doing that, he'll be a good asset for us.
  21. I'd have no doubt we'd be able to afford the transfer fee, but there is no chance in hell Randy would go anywhere near the wages he'd want. He could still get astronimcal wages at a lot of clubs around the world. On transfers, we need to get some deals done asap. There needs to be a bit of urgency. There is hardly anything in the press about Villa transfers, just the odd rumour or two on Twitter.
  22. Coutinho, Gouffran and a good center back pretty please Mr Lambo.
