I'm really happy about this, but theres seems to be a lot moan, moan, moan, moan on here about Lambert (and pretty every other manager bar OGS). No wonder people call us fickle. This manager is a class act, he has performed absolute miracles at every club he has been at so far and won the champions league as a player. KHV, Norwich worse team at VP last season? Must have not watched Blackburn and QPR. Norwich were unlucky perhaps not to get the draw in the end. They absolutely trounced us at Carrow road, could have been 4 or 5 that game to them. Also look at there center backs, championship class at best. Lambo has similarities to MON, but you put that question to many a Norwich fan, they will disagree. I lived in a house full of Norwich fans, I ask them if he is a carbon copy of MON, they say not at all. This guy rotates, brings on 3 attacking subs when he needs to change a game, they were the masters of coming from behind in league 1 and the championship, he is a very good tinkerer and tactician. Whenever Norwich were 1-0 down at half time always used to stick a bet on them to win, as it was the case most of the time. Sure his demeanour is like MON and some things on the pitch may be similar (but that could apply to a lot of managers), but Lambo is very much his own man. He isn't MON MKII.

Rule out Martinez, he has pledged his future to Wigan. Just on Sky Sports, the outcome of his meeting with Dave Whelan resulted in him pledging future to the club.

Martinez is meeting with Whelan today and Capello is hardly young and vibrant, so doubt it .

The negativity about Martinez on here is depressing. This is a young, intelligent manager who is clued up about English and Spanish football. He has a distinct style, set Swansea off with the way they play and is doing it with Wigan. Give him some time and money and he will give us a identity on the pitch, something we've desperately lacked. Martinez, Lambert, Rodgers I'd be happy with any of them. They all finished above us last season with naff teams.

Ole is a big name and a well like person. I recon he'd be able to attract more exciting players to Villa than other managers linked. His appointment will be refreshing for Villa, much needed.

So how can you prove Norway league is same quality as league 2? You saying Rosenborg are a league 2 quality team? Have you watched many games from the Tippeligaen? For a start their youth team managed to beat our outstanding youth 3-2 in the NextGen. They've had many European adventures, yet OGS's Molde finished 2 places above them at the top of the Norwegian league.

Mate, I often stick up for you, but if the first part of this posting is a strange observation, the last four words make it completely bizarre. OGS is the right fit for both parties. He will work extremely hard to bring decent progress and success to a second tier 'big club', so that he is in the frame when the biggest job of all comes up in a few years time. Plus the fact I stand to make decent money :winkold: Me too so I hope your right Trees .
