About the booing: I'm a total noob to the PL but my impression has been that the supporters are the heart of the club moreso than in in any other sport. The fans were there before the current players and administration and will still be there after they are gone. The fans have every right to show their disapproval when it is deserved. It was well deserved today. It was a horrible loss at home to a team that some have tagged for relegation. Now, if we had played well and lost on a PK in the final minute and the fans booed the loss, that would be different. There is nothing wrong with fans making their feelings clear about the play of their team.

Panic is justified after that display. The boos at VP were well deserved. It looked as though the team had never played together before. Wigan embarrassed us by simply being organized and working together. The skill of the players was not the problem today. This was a mental and tactical breakdown and the status quo will simply not do.

I think MON's signings will look better as the season goes on. We do need more players, but I think Beye and Delph will improve the team. I agree with those that said the small squad excuse will not wash this season. I am very optimistic and think Villa will be in the mix for another top 4 challenge. Other than Man City, I don't think any other teams made vast improvements to their squads.

I'm pumped for my first opening day with AVFC! One hour to go and I get to watch live on tv rather than on the computer. Up the Villa!

I want to see the baseball bashers stand in on a 90 mph fastball. Their are only two positions a fat guy can play, pitcher and first base. Most MLB players are in great shape. I has been said that hitting a baseball is one of the hardest things to do in sport(s).
