The announcers even had to acknowledge it: "that noise you are hearing is from the Villa faithful" (or something like that), and the celebration at the end looked massive, and a wave from MON. I'm glad I chose Villa - best fans in the league.

Did we? It looked to me like Milner moved into the middle and Gabby to the right. Infact, that is what happened. This was the only down side to yesterday. When I saw that Carew was coming on I thought that it would be a straight swap for Gabby. When NRC's number flashed up (which was disappointing as he had a good game) I naturally assumed that we were switching to 4-4-2. To keep the same formation and put Gabby on the right, which in effect weakened our midfield, was a strange decision indeed. Is is possible that Gabby was coming out, but MON changed his mind when he scored the goal? That was my impression.

Just finished watching. Brilliant, Calm, Commanding MOTM - Cuellar Sure, Fulham didn't do much to challenge, but it goes to show that if the midfield can keep pressure of the back line they can be brilliant. I much prefer this "boring" style to head down bulldozing that leads to counter attacks by the opposition. I actually was happy when we passed back rather than attacking because we really didn't need to attack. I like conservative play in any sport when it leads to wins. Gabby's goal was an absolute rocket and came just when he had made a mistake, and VP was singing for Carew. Well done, lad! I enjoyed this one just as much as the win at Anfield, and I am now more confident that the run of bad form is over and lessons have been learned. UP THE VILLA!!!!

I wasn't able to watch the game, but it sounds like we played OK. At least MON gave it an effort rather than sending out reserves and now we won't have the excuse of being tired as we concentrate on English cups and the top four. I think things are headed in the right direction now.

It shows that people love the Villa and want the best for it. Wanting one underperforming clun employee sacked isn't being fickle. Going off to support another team would be fickle. You call booing at half time when 1 down support? I don't believe they were booing due to the score. I believe it was the horrible football that was being played by the home side.

^Where did that come from? I think the General has made the position of himself and the club very clear. I think we should wait and see what happens in the next couple of games before pulling the General into message board drama any further. General, I appreciate that you listen to the fan's concerns and respond. I believe that most supporters have not given up hope and have faith that the club is going to try to improve.
