  1. If we play against Wigan, like we played yesterday, then we will murder these. Bent hat-trick anyone?
  2. "waste of money" "panic buy" "tapped up" "one-dimensional footballer" "not as good as Dzeko" "where was this money for O'Neill" London Media: **** RIGHT OFF!!!!!! Two words sum today's game up: Darren Bent.
  3. What return to Villa Park? Any one of us could have told him what would happen by going to Manchester Shitty, but no, he followed the money. **** him.
  4. Borin 'eck! :| What an absolutely shit draw
  5. I still think it was bloody good mate but I did have a similar thought and I think a lot of it was because of the stand we were in. In the lower tier it was not a very deep stand, but seemed quite long - in a similar sort of feel to the away end at Wolves (ignoring the obvious fact that yesterday we were behind the goal). We had lots of songs starting off from the left-hand side of the lower and then you looked right and they were singing another song, and then the upper tier would start a different one again. There was plenty of singing, but collectively it did seem pretty disjointed - which I think the stand has a lot to do with.
  6. The fans were brilliant, one of the best away days I have had anyway. I still haven't got my voice back. I've lost my voice as well "Sheffield's a shit-hole, I want to go hooome" - fantastic away support yet again. Over 5,000 Villa, brilliant! As for the game - first things first - WE WON! 8) Although despite three quality goals I thought our overall collective performance was still pretty poor today. Whereas I left Chelsea thinking "could that be our turning point?" I most definitely didn't do that today. We are still very much in the shit, but this was nice light relief in a season so far of misery. I also found it very telling that despite us winning some people were still singing anti-Houllier songs - that shows the strength of feeling in my opinion. Kyle Walker - sign him up, now! Couple of defensive mistakes maybe but he really was excellent. Powerful, quick, technically good, can clearly play composed football. This is exactly what we've needed for YEARS in the full back position. I know he plays on the other side but Walker's performance today just highlights even further how **** SHIT Warnock is. Super Marc - a future England regular, make no mistake about it. This boy is already class and he's still no way near even being the finished article. The most exciting prospect I can remember at Villa for a long time. Great finish today and was always a massive threat. Ashley Young - he can leave as far as i'm concerned. I've never rated him as much as most on here and I honestly think if we could get £15million for him it would be good business. He always loses the ball, he doesn't look interested anymore, he's so predictable it is untrue and basically I think he's massively over-hyped. He's really not that good in my opinion. Albrighton is better. Pires - another who can be booted out of the club faster than you can say "va va voom". There's nothing to say that hasn't already been said - he's been a catastrophic signing.
  7. I intend to get completely smashed by 3pm. ON. THE. PISS. MY. LORD.
  8. So you admit the current team don't know what he wants from them, yet you say we need to let him "bring in players" - sorry, how many players do you honestly think we are going to bring in this month? Two maximum. How is that going to change anything? This team got us 6th three seasons running and now look at us? He HAS to go. I've been saying it weeks - and every week that goes on, our position gets that little bit more serious. WAKE UP.
  9. Perfect ending to the day lol thanks for that. But on a serious note. We will be ok. Even though it looks dreadful at the moment part of me still believes GH is the right man for the job and will bring us out of this. Makoun and a quality centre forward and we will be ok. Just trying to stay positive and optimistic. Having a fourth manager this season is beyond a joke. What part of you is that? Your funny bone?
  10. We are in free-fall. Simple as; and have been for weeks. We now find ourselves one solitary point off the foot of the table, rock bottom. Myself and a fair few others came on here after the Liverpool debacle and said Houllier HAD to go then. Any manager who has that little respect for the football club he manages is on to a loser. And all we got was "give him time", "you're talking rubbish", "another fan over-reacting" etc etc. Now look at us. I hate to tell anyone I told you so, but some people have been wanting him gone for weeks. Instead we've persisted and where has it got us? One battling performance and one point. The rest has been worse than garbage. And now more and more people are jumping on the bandwagon? By the time everyone has jumped on, it could well be too late. If we'd have sacked him after Liverpool then we could have settled the team down by now ahead of a January transfer window and a second half of the season with a new man at the helm. Instead we've got a French baffoon who really hasn't got a clue - the fans know it and more worryingly, the players know it.
  11. Yep, same here. Me and my mate were listening to WM in the car with all the wound-up callers and we were looking at each other confused, wondering how they could slate us so much when we didn't play that bad. You were confused that angry Villa fans were phoning up a radio station after yet another loss and after we'd slipped into the relegation zone and 1 point off rock bottom?? Dear christ, praise the lord  .
  12. o'lbs, I know you didn't see the game because you were asleep, but we played well, there was some spirit to us and some quality too. People are pleased, there's even a feeling that the manager didn't do too badly. Might I suggest you stay awake during games, it'll help you understand the mood. I woke up and put the stream on when it was 2-1 to Villa. It was pretty much backs to the wall at this point I knew what to expect. So you missed the most crucial point of the game then when we went 1-0 down but decided not to crumble and instead fightback like true lions. That perhaps explains your unfair assessment.
  13. "SHIT FANS, SHIT BEER, SHIT FANS, SHIT BEER!" 8)
  14. I **** hate John Terry. That is all.
  15. Stan, Ian Taylor and Merse - Get the **** in there you beauties! Flying the flag for the Villa in the media! YES YES YESSSSSS!!!
  16. After the Man City match I wondered 'why do I keep subjecting myself to this garbage'? Today is why. Rarely have I been as proud to be Villa as I was at full-time today when the whole team and manager came over to the SUPERB away support. That is what it's all about - that was the REAL Villa today - one that showed 110% comittment. Yes we perhaps should have won, but today is a very, very good day to be a Villa fan. Football is all about turning points, confidence and momentum - let's PRAY we use today as a catalyst. Chelsea FC - **** off. Plastic, flag-waving parasites! WE SHALL NOT BE MOVED.
  17. Never have I been so convinced about the result of a game of football in all my life. Chelsea will be reeling from their current form and see this as a GOLDEN opportunity to get back to winning ways. We however are in free-fall with much lesser players. Expect us to have the worst goal difference in the league come New Year's Day. I think we'll get bloody hammered, again.
  18. One word: defeated. Utterly, utterly defeated. The one thing he gets right is that we are in a relegation battle. Watching that, do any of you think he is the man to get us out of it? I'd be surprised if anyone said 'yes'. He needs to go, and now.
