  1. Unai got it wrong last night but he has earned the right to do so now and again, just wish it was against somebody else.
  2. We discovered the true cost of the Kamara red card against sheff , last night we had no ball winner in midfield and allowed unt to steam roller us in that area after the break. Where was the guys to stand up and be counted for us on the night, Ramsey is not fit so we do not have his legs to count on and some of those players seem very fragile to me when the going gets tough. They are no great shakes at the moment but we made them look like world beaters and when you go into a gunfight why would you have the sun in your eyes.
  3. Hope the man can outdo Santa today Cause we are living in Unai times
  4. Wilder won the battle on the day two little fast guys upfront and the rest defend with Norwood kicking a few, heads down for the villa and maybe we have some fragile players.
  5. We needed to move the ball a lot quicker against sheff , playing the so called patient ball just enabled their block and they did not get out of shape most of the game. Tinkering with players takes away their natural mode of play and therefore you get that player at 70%, and we all know bailey and Diaby play in the same space so they should get a half each because what use is a shadow to us. We were set up wrong and some do not have the fitness yet but without our ball winner it was a struggle to get going all night with people blaming the ref and var but if we do our job and play as a team we should blow these away.
  6. Could become our Beckenbauer , had a gardner like Southgate once, laid the turf upside down.
  7. The non footballer Maupay is a disgrace to the professional players union, his whole time spent on the field is to get another pro sent off. Our players have to do some growing up and just walk away from his type of provocation because its all they had and was their only way back in the game. Emi do your lines monday and konsa, kamarra have to learn to keep their hands to themselves which Unai will sort out monday. Pity a good win has us being handicapped for future games.
  8. It's a wonderful watch, Ian Wright still licking wallpaper, Saka falling down like a Saturday night drunk, Jesus diving like an Olympian and Arteta not being able to influence the ref. Cause we are living in Unai time's.
  9. Cause we are living in Unai times
  10. A night of dreams was played out at villa park last night. We seemed to get everything right on the night and made the champion's look like fodder for our marauding attackers and well drilled team. Pep was schooled on the night by Unai's attacking formation for 90 minutes and sent back to manchester on the school bus. We may never see a performance like it again so savour the moment and breathe the air of success that we so deserve. Our only loss last night was one of our own in Benjamin Zephaniah RIP big man HEITS
  11. Not many 19 year olds have and to expect a wonder kid at villa park is just not in the club make up, Potential is the only route we can take and not many make it but his character traits are there with the elite along with the Ramseys.
  12. Thought we looked a little tired and leggy, not to sure about the tinkering at right back, think we need a new one in january and probably a midfielder to ease the workload and stress in that area. We are living in Unai times.
  13. Like the look of big Jhon and think he's way ahead of his time for a 19year old, just needs time to develop and mature into a Benteke type and an understanding of the team.
  14. Bring me sunshine Bring me rain Bring me Unai To ease the pain
  15. Just trying to hang on and enjoy the ride, the high line is a throw of the dice but the results cannot be denied and it doe's make us look like a jammy side to the opposition but only their forwards can beat it and not many have done so this far. Have always been the type who wants to win every game or have a good go and this season i have had to step on the tightrope and walk the path of Unai. We are living in Unai times.
  16. To easily bullied and brushed of the ball, What was Luiz doing for the first goal, he should have at least tried to get out to the scorer but just stood there and waved it on its way.
  17. It's just a bit of timing issue at the moment and adjusting to the pace of our style when our front boys attack.
  18. R.I.P. Charlie a legend and true clubman a gentleman and a stalwart of our club. Got up and down from full back and always had so much energy with a bit of tough tackling when he had to. You will be missed by the fans and a loss to the club.
  19. There is a buzz around Aston Villa at the moment and that has to be Unai the Magnificent, when these players play well we look a decent team and could score a few in most games. West Ham was always a side we had problems with and always a close game but we just picked up another gear yesterday and blew them bubbles away. It's still a roller coaster at the minute but hey what a ride and wonderful for the fans after so many years of drab and fruitless matches we are on the rise again.
  20. Very special player and man, a Legend in the true sense and superb to watch him glide by international defence's to hit a thunderbolt that no one could stop. The only player we had of any semblance was Bruce Rioch who could hit a ball so hard the keeper never saw it coming. R.I.P Sir Bobby take a rest on the bench in the sky.
  21. The brainwashing continues, there were 42 games a season back then and about 3 cup games, where as now we play a reserve side in the cups and usually go out very early. They play on carpet like pitches now and never see sand and mud to build there leg strength and grit to carry on when your leg is cramping up and i can see no difference in the ground covered now to then, probably was even greater when you only have 14 players to cover the miles over a season. Nutrition is better now because somehow they did it all on a pie and pint diet with a crafty fag to ease the stress. People have stats now which just serve to cover the modern day player and appear to give a false impression of a fit player at todays standards but put most of Ron's team in todays game and the pampered poodles could only watch the marathon runners of past teams in awe.
  22. When you consider that villa won the league with 14 players, who were trained to run day+ night on sand hills and poor quality mud and sand pitch's and do it for a season with every game a cup final until the end, i doubt it will ever be done again. Today you see players going down with cramp all over the pitch after 70 minutes and have the luxury of many subs in a game. The marathon runners of Ron's team, just dug in and new they were there to finish the game and Tony Morley would get in any side playing now and still be running like the road runner.
  23. The dog heads set out to stop us playing and counter with netto hoping to snatch the win. Dawson at the centre of their defence had a tremendous game and marshalled all their defensive line as he did with Harland last week. It was one they could not afford to lose so the tactics payed off for them but that was a stone wall penalty at the end and the Ref went with the home side.
