    Maybe the tight margin is decision making if mings just heads the ball we do not enter the ref's world, do the simple things, two years ago this would be john stones dwelling on the ball.

    Thought we did well last night to give them a game, man city were the dominate team but was beginning to think we would see the game out, and we get that decision it totally changed the game and again we saw what tight margins this level hangs on. We cannot account for Ref's but we do deserve a little respect when we go to so called big club's these days .

    That's another moment in history for villa fan's enjoyed the spirit in our youngster's and the determination to do well, it would have been so easy to roll over and admire the superstar's ability and let them play and dominate. The lads gave them a game and scored a goal that anyone from the pool would have been proud of and scousers crying in their drove's about "that barry lad". Football was the winner yesterday and a few babbie's from Brum made it.

    Would have thought you have to lose the shirt and Hause has played very well, what message doe's it give to Hause if after doing so well he is dropped at the first occasion. He deserves the right to start and only subbed if he is being roasted.

    A major benefit of catching is you have control of the ball, punching is a lottery. Martiness has in general safe hand's and even doe's it as part of a save.

    Just been watching the spinksy videos and martiness seems to have had a simular impact on the club. Right guy at the right time.

    Martinez is living proof that coaches do not always get it right, all coaching guidelines for the last few years have adapted the european approach of punching or parrying the ball. Emiliano prefers to catch the ball at nearly every opportunity and reduces the risk of spilling to an on running opponent, this is totally against what all the top team keepers do and has to show Emil as his own man and therefore a leader. This guy is a breadth of fresh air and we have already seen the benefits of his craft and the value he is to our team, maybe this is just the start.

    Looks like we have a decent pairing that understand each other and put up a solid performance at chelsea, things are starting to slot together and show in the lack of opposition goals. You can watch the villa now and not think we will fold in the second half, you can believe in players.

    Did well when he came on and looks like a player that is improving, help's having the Mcginns and watkins around to set the bar on what it takes. Lets hope he gets more game time and proves he is a player to add to the fight.
