One of my favourite players too. Would make a huge difference to their team if they got him. They still need centre backs too though as Jones, Smalling and Evans aren't really first team quality for a club like them.

Yep, if I remember rightly he was doing a fairly decent job for Sunderland before going for the money. Just read that he's getting £6m a season there and has also scored 59 goals in 47 games which says it all really!

Although I likes the attacking nature of the teams Woy picked, I think you've got a point there. For me, I'd have lined up like this. Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Gerrard Henderson Wiltshire Sterling Sturridge Rooney Gerrard sitting deep with Henderson and Wiltshire either side providing some legs and cover for the full backs who will provide the width, Sterling with a free role behind the strikers. Try and get Rooney and Sturridge playing a bit closer together although gives either one freedom to drop deep or pull out wide. That formation is playing everyone in their normal positions for their clubs and plays to our strengths too

Matuidi is a great player, little bit underrated but he's so energetic. Frances bench looks reall strong as well with the likes of Pogba, Griezemann, Mangala, Remy, Sagna etc too

Posted this in the match thread but probably more appropriate here: I really don't know what's happened to Gabby, he's coming into what is supposed to be his best years but he's just getting worse ? Last season he single handedly won us some important games when it mattered and chipped in with a fair amount of goals, this season he's barely shown up at all bar about 3 games. Would certainly keep him around the squad but shouldn't be a guaranteed starter next season for me, same with Wiemann.
