  1. But the tweet is an hour old: what sort of time-travelly dark arts are people up to in the Zaniolo thread??
  2. Seems to be considered relatively reliable, as Italian journalists go (emphasis on as Italian journalists go)
  3. To be fair it's a weird translation: the article itself doesn't suggest it's personal, just that Villareal would only sell Foyth if the release clause was met and are therefore refusing to negotiate on any other terms. Still prefer Monchi, though. The beautiful bald man.
  4. The justice system is notorious for failing when it comes to offences of this nature. Note that the case was dropped because "key witnesses withdrew their cooperation". https://www.city.ac.uk/news-and-events/news/2022/04/new-scorecards-show-under-1-of-reported-rapes-lead-to-conviction-criminologist-explains-why-englands-justice-system-continues-to-fail
  5. I think one of the most disgusting parts of all of this is that it's only even a "debate" because, like Partey, he happens to be very good at football. If it was some youth/reserve player I doubt United or Arsenal would remotely bother keeping them around. It's utterly sickening.
  6. If I checked VillaTalk about an hour earlier when this thread was on Page 1, this would have been Barney Gumbled. Take from that what you will.

    Tyler Adams

Adams to Brighton has also been backed up by Moretto.
  8. Track record is, er, something (NOT INCLUDED: Lucas Moura to Villa, Allahyar Seyyadmanesh to Villa)
  9. **** (although given the links to Zaniolo predate this I reckon it was happening regardless)
  10. If Buendia got injured in the last day or two (he hasn't), any replacement wouldn't have been at the closing stages of a deal within hours, surely?
  11. It'd be their record sale by about double (their current highest is about 16m euros) if it came off. I assume it's just money that they can't really refuse.
  12. 3m euro loan fee + 27m option to buy, apparently. That's a insanely good deal that essentially eliminates all of the risk on our side. Option to buy deals usually hugely suit the buyer.
  13. From a quick glance at his transfermarkt injury history (which is much less reliable than sometimes made out to be, as it's dependent on users submitting them: Sanson has apparently never been injured with us, presumably because tracking that guys injuries would be too much for anyone), he missed 11 games in 21/22 and 2 games in 22/23, which isn't bad. There wasn't any long period of games where he wasn't in the squad that aren't explained, either, so it seems relatively accurate.
  14. Mings also had two serious injuries by 24. With modern sports medicine advancements they can be gotten over with generally no long-term effects. It's the players who get smaller, constant niggles every other week you have to worry about nowadays, like Sanson and Pulisic.
  15. Ward-Prowse and Maguire for £60m on the same day? No prizes for figuring out who won the power struggle for transfer strategy between Moyes and Tim Steidten.
  16. We're signing a pair of Portugese eyeballs? I'm not sure I trust Emery & Monchi on this signing.
  17. Seems to be a joke about a dive she made during the England game (Angel City are by Hollywood)
  18. Good news. Interestingly, the announcement says that her contract was due to expire this summer. At this point, should be safe to assume that Lehmann extends once she returns from the WC.
  19. 13 years waiting for Europe just for our first match to possibly be in Scotland is funny, in its own way.
