    We will never not try. Even a reserve side will try, just as they did at Man C115y. I just don't thinks there is any realistic chance of going through, regardless who we put out, given all the reasons I mentioned. Edit: Regardless of the fact they lost a couple of games 2 months ago against opposition who weren't living on fumes after a terribly long season.

    If there was such a gap between 3rd and 4th maybe. We are currently 16 points off the top and could end up finishing 4th but 24 points off the winners. It really is a top 3 this season. We are nowhere near.

    They keep mentioning all this publicity. They are being taken the piss out of and they a lapping it cos its publicity. Rolf Harris had plenty of publicity. As did Jimmy Saville.     Top 4 next season will be very hard. Thats why we must get it now. I think Chelsea, Newcastle and Man United will all be far stronger but especially Chelsea.

    I wonder if he will rest players for this like he did at Man C115y. There's no way the match fixing, mafia boss owner would ever allow the officials to let us walk off with a 3 goal win, even if we were capable. Which we aren't unfortunately, given our injuries and burn out. We lost this tie at Villa Park. It's 100%; over as far as I'm concerned. We just have to think what's best for the club now I think, and playing out this scharade with semi injured/burnt out players, COULD cost us the Champions League if Spurs blagged a point v Man C115y. Send the kids?

    We may be without Emi, Youri or Rogers for this, in a hostile stadium, 2 goals down with a knackered team, nobody decent on the bench and a bent ref. It was good whilst it lasted. Tinpot trophy anyway. Bring on the Champions League.

    For me, this weeks results have brought the season to an end. We will finish 4th and we reached a semi final. Thats how it will end. We don't meed another point. The players are knackered and we won't reach the final. Not 2 down. But 4th and a semi final. What a season!

    Morgan injured now too. Seems our bench was just as poor es we expected and that Emery, clearly, doesn't rate Tim. In fairness to the bench, the 1st 11 were poor too. Just would have been nice to have been able to pose a threat using subs.
