  1. Happy to stand corrected - but he started at wolves and by all accounts was our best player, but still got benched - Something tells me this was after Man Utd??
  2. I really have no idea how you have managed to write of Sansom ??
  3. Also one of the most gifted and mercurial talents we have had for many a year.
  4. That’s a very odd thing to say with the greatest of respect - Traore’ is one of the most skilful players we have had in the past 10 years.
  5. I like Tyrone, his attitude, and commitment cannot be faulted and he comes across as a decent person as well. This said I don’t think we can ignore that he does have a mistake in him, which has proved costly to us - also I feel there are times, when his passing could be more measured. But then again in our current position could we do any better ? Possibly not - it’s when/if we start to climb the league, that I feel he will be wanting. For now - he is our best defender.
  6. Maybe not in games no - I don’t really see many teams trying to score direct from a corner, but I’m reasonably confident you can see this at training grounds up and down the country on a daily basis. It’s an innate skill and not one I imagine is drilled too often. I feel it falls more likely under the same category as say the crossbar challenge. Anyway I’m losing sight of the point now
  7. I’m totally with you on this bro - no hate from me
  8. Well I certainly would not use the term “ hate” do I think he is value for money absolutely not - hate ? No chance !
  9. Is it really hatred ? I think not - for me it’s just a general apathy about our set pieces and the fact, we have a so called expert overseeing this aspect of the game and we see very little at all to get excited about
  10. My point exactly I’d wager most clubs have players capable of scoring directly from a corner kick - I’d be astonished if a set piece coach was drilling this imo
  11. With all due respect to you - that is also non sensical a good professional footballer will have the innate skill to score directly from a corner kick. Yes clearly with practice they will get better and more accurate, but what on earth would a set piece coach role be in this? Would a player not be able to practice this skill on their own?
  12. With respect I was focussing on corners - and the fact that a player does not need any coaching to score directly from a corner kick - As for the rest of our set pieces, i for one find us just very average tbh
  13. Personally I can’t see what he does that sets him apart from other coaches? We look pretty average from set pieces to me, and with reference to scoring from a corner - isn’t this more about a player, than a coach ?
  14. Personally I would be more than happy with a total clear out. This current mob of back room staff are part of the problem and not the solution imo. Not saying all of them are bad at what they do - but unfortunately for them, they are tarred with Gerrard’s brush and I feel a complete reset would be in everyone’s interest imo
  15. Gabby was never any good - his pace masked his total inability. I can say without any doubt he is one of the most tactically inept footballers I have ever witnessed. The fact he down tools when we were in our hour of need tells you all you need to know. The guy is a disgrace imo to Aston Villa. 80 odd goals in over 300 games is pathetic and this guy who has no self reflection thinks it makes him a Villa legend. Gabby you are not and never will be
  16. The two players I am hoping benefit most from the new manager are Emi B and Morgan who based on the cameo’s I have seen - does seem like a player to me
  17. The problem is that the “ odd clanger” results in a goal. The odd clanger from say midfield or attack is not destined to end up in the back of the net. I actually think that overall Mings has done well this season - but I do feel he will always have a mistake in him. This aside he has every attribute to be an international defender imo
  18. And I still say Bertie is a better player
  19. I agree - but it would be good to see him get some minutes if possible
  20. Agreed - I just saw a footballer who knew he wasn’t getting a game and looking totally non plussed about the whole sorry affair - can anyone hold this against him ??
  21. Well that sucks - thanks again slippy. thanks also for clarifying
  22. Is this possible? Because if so I’m in as well
  23. Absolutely this - clueless decision imo, Bertie is miles ahead of Bailey.
