3 points are a must with the games we have to play over Xmas/New Year. Watching the Everton v Wigan game Wigan looked shockingly bad but from previous experiences this is to be taken with a pinch of salt.

When I got mine I asked the ticket office the very same thing and she said it hadn't been confirmed yet but they expect to be told that there will be tickets for sale at the ground on the day for the away end. With this in mind, and the fact we have now probably sold the initial 2,500 hopefully we will take a good 3,000-3,500.

Credit has to go to GH for todays game at least. He made a brave decision by dropping Dunne who is also the captain at the moment and it payed off, Cuellar was great in defence along with Lichaj who I was also very impressed with. We looked dangerous going forward and fully deserved the 3 points. Another major difference was the physical side of our game today, the players looked really up for it and showed some great passion and determination to grind out the result, you need look no further than NRC's reaction after our 2nd goal and even Ashley Young was getting stuck into challenges! Onwards and upwards and hopefully to another 3 points next week.

Will be interesting to see what the attendance will be, first local derby at VP at 3:00 pm on a Saturday for a while.

I thought our build up play and passing were superb, our finishing is obviously a problem. I knew we were going to lose though, they are the jammiest bastards ever, we KILLED them for the majority of the game and they get a penalty and a deflected winner then wank over it likt they have won the league.

I missed the first 15 minutes of the game, by the time I got into the ground we were already 1-0 down. I knew from the moment I got roped into walking to the ground and into the ground with the Villa "firm" numbering in the hundreds. As I made my way down from the White Tower pub where we were parked literally dozens of police vans sped up the road ahead of us, I thought something must have been kicking off further up the road but it turns out this was to prevent the mob which I hadn't yet seen following me up the road from clashing with the Blues fans who were waiting by the away fans entrance. After getting caught in with the mob and making numerous pleas to the Police to let me out of the escort/group (or idiots as I called them) as things were not looking great, it was clear thiese lads were up for it and getting lairy towards Police and any nearby Noses which led to a number of baton charges by the cops a a few arrests. I was scared by this point, I made it clear to the Police I had no intent of being with the hooligans and I just wanted to watch the game but it fell on deaf ears. I don't know where this lot came from but it was obvious who and what they were from the start with scarfs (and union jacks flags to cover faces) and hoods being donned. The Police told us the kick off had been delayed but surely this was just to keep the mob happy as I found out they wanted to wait for all the fans to be inside the ground before escorting the firm in. After the final whistle, just to clarify, it was a Villa flare as I saw the person who lit it but and the away end was trashed with broken seats (thrown at the SHA fans on the pitch and in the stands next to us) and the toilets were traditionally smashed to pieces. I was disgusted with the behaviour of both sets of fans and after it had finally died down and we made our way slowly and with a massive Police escort out of the ground, under siege from bricks, bottles, coins and snowballs with god knows what in them. After an hour wait/march we were finally allowed to disperse, one of the worst nights of my life, I will never return to the Sty, because thats what it truly is...

I think in the interests of my health if it goes to pens ill have to leave, losing to SHA in a cup game on pens is one of my worst nightmares, many a time I have woken in a cold sweat just at the thought of it. I know the bastards would rub it in like they had won 10-0. I truly hope we thrash them, but I have a very, very negative feeling unfortunatly, it is possibly going to be most nerve racking game I have ever attended. The atmosphere will be hostile to the max and I hope this dosen't affect the players, nothing would give me greater pleasure to beat these bunch of morons but it would take a braver man than me to confidently predict a victory. Ireland and Delfouneso have to start over Carew and Pires.

It's just a case of whether we get ManUre at home or away
