  1. My 4 tickets arrived in the post today, Bolton is always a good trip.
  2. I think this is the clown who was mentioned earlier in the thread, he takes up two seats at the Sty and might not be allowed to go to Wembley, which is a a blow for them as he was their plan to fill seats.
  3. You obviously didn't watch the Denmark v England game last week then, if he played like that for us in the same position there would be no complaints, don't forget he's playing off Bent for both teams.
  4. We need to start winning some football matches...I'm starting to get a bit twitchy.
  5. Actually I think the initial 3,000 is all of the lower tier then once we sell that the upper tier becomes available, thats what they have done at the Reebok for most games I can remember this season. Anyway, good prices so fair play, Bolton is always a good turn-out so hopefully we should have another large away following.
  6. Explosive start, fizzled out towards the end, especially when Makoun walked. Still can't defend set-pieces but not catastrophic, I see the same people who are calling for GH's head earlier in the season, then were creaming over him after signing Bent, are now calling for him to go again...oh dear. Anyway, we have got some decent games coming up (although I said that after the ManUre game) that we really, really need to win, let's turn out in numbers and support the lads because we have got some cracking players who are capable of playing some electric attacking football, as demonstrated in the first half today. Trust me, we will be playing Premier League football next season, this is a transitional season and we will kick on next season without looking back. UTV
  7. I have been invited once, that was before the Ajax home UEFA Cup game, what happened to being invited a few times a season?
  8. Hopefully Bent, Downing and Young link up like they just have done for England!
  9. Not at all, I have watched Villa games in there when Wolves are playing and it's 50/50, there are always Villa fans in there when our games are on.
  10. Not in Brum but the Royal in Sutton Coldfield and the Nest in Chadsmoor are good places to watch Villa games in the company of fellow supporters
  11. Where are we all going to mob up before the game on Saturday?
  12. 343 SHA fans at the game today, and they think they are catching us up? Good one.
  13. There are many words that could be used to describe that game but boring is not one of them.
  14. Very brave CM IMO - technically strong but too lightweight and this would get owned by most Premier League midfields. Bannan has been our best CM this season, Blackpool are a footballing side so this will suit him, not exactly Stoke if you know what I mean.
  15. This is a big one, win and we can push on because we have a home game against Blackburn in the league game after. Lose, and we will all feel depressed, people will be back on the "Houllier out" bandwagon and calling for whoever has under performed this week to be sold, released etc, a draw would not be catastrophic but underwhelming. I would go with: GK Friedel RB Walker CB Collins CB Dunne LB Clark RM Albrighton CM Makoun CM Bannan LM A.Young CF Heskey CF Bent Subs: Marshall, Cuellar, Bradley, Petrov, Downing, Agbonlahor, Delfouneso
  16. Not a terrible performance but a disappointing result, we didn't create a lot for Bent (or anyone for that matter) which hopefully we can rectify. Blackpool next week is a massive game and a win would be fantastic, I hope we take out our frustration from today and make Holloway cry next Saturday. Don't push the panic button just yet guys. Keep the faith. UTV
  17. Best "Villa" pub is the Adventures on Queens Road near Aston station, usually a great atmosphere.
  18. Blackpool sections sold out now.
  19. GK Friedel RB Walker CB Dunne CB Collins LB Clark CM Reo-Coker CM Makoun CM Bannan RW Albrighton LW Downing CF Bent Subs: Marshall, Cuellar, Petrov, Bradley, Agbonlahor, Delfouneso, Heskey
  20. Not too bothered about the result, never expected us to get anything. It was nice to see Makoun play well, he looks really comfortable on the ball and rarely gives it away. We also gave it a go, we had 4 strikers on the pitch at one point! So onwards and upwards, our remaining fixtures bar Arsenal look very winnable.
  21. Bannan MOTM, what a delightful little player he is turning out to be, closely followed by Clark.
  22. Go and wash your face mate because there's still some egg on it
