  1. I don't want to clog the thread but there is trouble ahead at that club lot more than people realise . Could be the new Portsmouth if they are not very careful Fingers crossed...
  2. Or just buy tickets from Villa (officially) when they go on general sale and start to build up your booking history. Best pub for atmosphere is the Adventures on Queens Road IMO. Enjoy!
  3. The Cap n Gown is now called the Witton Arms again isn't it? And I wouldn't venture into any pubs apart from that one especially not the Adventures.
  4. Some guy on Facebook. :!: Yeah that's me lol, he is Who are you may I ask
  5. Incredibly I've just spoken to Pete Colley from SSN on the phone (my dad's the cameraman) Bent is at VP under-going a medical and will be unveiled around 4.00pm at Bodymoor Heath. I was having a chat with the old man about Bent he asked me how I'd heard I said SSN and Colley then he puts him on the phone! Obviously not exactly a busy day for the media at the Villa.
  6. While I agree Makoun is a good footballer and a great signing for us, you surely can't disagree that we have been crying out for a striker like Darren Bent since perhaps Dwight Yorke left...
  7. Definately this. The best chance you have got.
  8. Hopefully Makoun can play a part, he won't start but I would probably play: GK Friedel RB Walker CB Dunne CB Collins LB Clark DM Reo-Coker RM Albrighton CM Bannan LM Downing AM A.Young CF Delfouneso Subs: Marshall, Cuellar, Petrov, Makoun (if available), Pires, Gabby, Carew Won't happen though...
  9. At least we went for it and showed a bit of bottle in a crunch game. GH actually got the subs right for the 2nd game in a row so credit where credit is due. If we can take a point at least off City I'll be happy then Wigan is a must-win game. It's performances like this and Chelsea away that makes me think we will be fine but then it's performances like Sunderland at home that make me peer anxiously over my shoulder...
  10. They will still get smashed.
  11. Have the extra 250 sold out yet?
  12. Do people think this will go down to ST holders who've attended 3 away games this season? I would have thought so mate but you should get in quick as these will be like gold dust.
  13. Did we get 1,500 or 2,000 in the end?
  14. I went last year and it looked full, I think the allocation was 3,000 but was on a Saturday.
  15. Good performance over a poor Sheffield United side, brilliant away support, thoroughly enjoyed my day. Except for nearly not being allowed into the ground by the jobsworth Bramall Lane stewards because the flag I was carrying didn't have a fire-safety certificate or a British kitemark...But that's another rant and nothing to do with what happened on the pitch. Although Walker was exceptional and scored a brilliant goal then played a big part in the 3rd with another exciting solo run, I've opted for Bannan as MOTM, the kid is a quality footballer and for me ran the game, I can't remember him giving the ball away and I didn't think he should have been taken off. However, credit to GH where credit is due unlike against Sunderland on Wednesday he made subs at the right time and Petrov and Downing did make a difference because they were fresh, hopefully a lesson learned for the management...UTV.
  16. Coventry away please. If we got them at home it would be a shite attendance, shite atmosphere and Cov would bring the whole of their town to VP. However, away we would take 5,000+ and it would be a brilliant atmosphere...
  17. Quietly looking forward to this, a big following, let's make some noise!!!!!
  18. I would rather go to watch the game on my own than watch it in a pub with two Noses.
  19. We should sell out that amount.
  20. I would have thought they would have Wolves v Chelsea but I may be incorrect. Try BRMB or Beacon etc.
