  1. A good manager will turn this around, its clear since the Mings debacle he lost the players. There's a good squad there they just need organising properly, they need a plan, get the whole coaching team out, throw money at Posh let him have all the backroom staff he wants. Give him the keys to Villa Park, We made 20 million on Chuk didn't re invest at all, use the money for compensation and employ a proper manager, we are supposed to be rich and ambitious. SHOW US
  2. Gerrard gives a great high five. Only Young looked like he gave a shlt Give the Job to Critchley. Give it to Ashley Young, give it to Mark Bosnich , Give it to a block of Tofu Anything but this
  3. We are not even rolling up of work sleeves mate, Bruce at least knew how to roll up a good sleeve
  4. Those commentators ,, first half Chelsea, Man City draw , my god what is the love in with this guy about.
  5. Players thought right, players need to step up, ya know players, what do you fucklng even do Gerrard? players though
  6. ps Play Archer you knob, we can't score
  7. just outside the bottom 3, if he's not gone after anything other than two wins in the next 2, then I'm done with this season, this board and the dream we were sold , to make me feel disconnected like this from Villa is quite impressive. I just want to like us again, I'm sure many feel the same.
  8. See my man DJBOB pretty much covered it. Also attacking journo's, just not the personality type I would like to represent our club. The Mings thing was pretty much all the disrespect I needed to see to realise this is not the man for us, handled so poorly I'm pretty sure the players hate it, they are not players that look like they are enjoying themselves.
  9. I think we are at banner stage, the board need to see that we dislike him, not his football, not the fact we have 9 points from 9 games, actually him, the destroyer of football club souls. I don't care if we are shlt but I care when I start disliking watching my club and feeling like the manager and fans aren't together. What is he doing here, imagine the buzz around Villa park if Poch or emery or someone else came in, a shining bit of hope. This has gotten to silly levels already. Even if he wins the next 10 he's still a disrespectful knob.
  10. Remember when we used to have shots on target and players that moved into attacking positions and an unpredictable style? no me neither Bored and frustrated every game.....every game. It's on the owners ....absolute trash, do something about it
  11. floated crosses, we must have the lowest conversion cross rate of any team in any league down to Sunday league and children's 3 a side football in the world
  12. More consistency like changing every game he comes on as sub? Just play Buendia and Coutinho together, is it that hard its not like they are both target men competing to start in a 1 man attack. They both play left , right or centre and can probably both play deeper, Gerrard has a weird superiority thing it seems when it comes to Buendia, is there something we don't see? does Buendia make school boy fart noises during team talks? what is it, why doesn't he start the most creative player we have had in years when we need goals? Baffling
  13. We are Burnley, I figured it out play Buendia that's all
  14. Emi Young. Chambers. Mings Digne Luiz Kamara Captain McUndroppable Coutinho Buendia INgs Id give McGann a go in the advanced role, more lea way with error and I think he'd love a go in the AM role again, I think asking him to play as a CM fullback hybrid (whatever the f**k Gerrard is playing with) isn't suited to him at all. I want Coutinho and Buendia on the pitch, together, just out them on it, free roles if you have to just put them on the pitch and let the magic happen Ings (against Southampton and just a better finisher and positional play, with the South Americans behind him) harsh on Bailey but what can do? Id prefer McGann dropped, Em in the middle and Bailey on the wing but if we must have Mcginn then I'm going with this. Gerrard will play 2-1-1-1--4-1
  15. I understand this appointment a bit more after today, I am currently in Nepal in a random place called Panauti (old town village place) I am in a little native kind of restaurant, there's a group of guys in there and they ask me the usual 'where you from sir' etc etc and then they ask me a bout football, I mention I'm a Villa fan ..... oh yes Steven Gerrard's team. I get this was an appointment to boost our global awareness too, Also they mention Coutinho and Grealish (because of City I assume). Before no one had a clue about villa in general, its all Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool Chelsea , Man City. I would get blank looks when I mention Villa. Now we are 'Gerrards' team. $hit manager still but at least we are now on the radar of Nepalese obscure village town folk. Well worth relegation.....
  16. Its not the football is it? it's now gone beyond, even if we manage a few results, It's nice to actually relate to the manager, there's no connection. From day 1 he's been mister Liverpool and we have all felt it, he's just not really likeable and doesn't seem to really bond with the fans (or players) at all. He has to go, I have no idea why Critchley isn't in charge, he did well at Blackpool just let him have a crack for a few games, what can be worse. The fans will turn today I'm sure and the anger will be directed towards the directors too, so they will feel what a disgruntled villa park is and maybe realise that the soul of this club is being destroyed by this peanut in charge Also I understand he is a human and for sure just let him go and live his very comfortable life, he has too much pride and compensation due to quit, I don't want to see the man suffer either
  17. I'd take Ross Barkley as manager right now.
  18. Really weird pre season, we started full of hope and promise, great owners, super rich and gonna go for top six, we signed a few players early, and here we are having sold or isolated all the wingers and backups, looking to potentially lose our highest potential midfielder having already recouped 20 mill for a youth prospect with an absolutely strange net spend. Out spent by mostly everyone. This is not what we were promised by the board, our net spend is odd. I can only assume they definitely do not trust Gerrard with the money and are waiting to give big spend to a new potential manager or to Gerrard if by some miracle we aren't in a relegation mess by January. Make it make sense. We had a good squad , now a few injuries and all of a sudden we do not look much better than last season. where's the progression. Gerrard has to go and Emery or Poch given an absolute war chest of 100-150 plus mill, I'm sure we are within the rules when Forest are smashing 150 mill spends etc.
  19. Id go Play with wingers, and shake it up a bit, drop Ramsey, Coutinho, Konsa, Ings and Captain untouchable. Get Watkins in there on the wing cutting in, so he's not the focal scoring point due to his confidence, just get him playing well again. Give Archer a go , Chambers a deserved start and stop sending Digne and Cash into kamikaze mode, we might actually defend properly.
  20. If we beat Everton with the 4-1-1-1-2-1 formation by chance then I'm not sure, certainly if we lose I don't think we will risk him bringing anyone else in, if there's doubts then surely we save the kitty for a potential new manager and a nice budget for the new man? who knows we might change shape and smash Everton off the park, however with potential player fall outs now, it feels like it's heading to 'no way back' territory.
  21. Take out the best defensive vocal organiser, have a none vocal dis-organised defence....funny that. No ones bigger than the club but Tyrone is bigger than Gerrard in the view of the faithful. Be careful Stevie!! drop him all you like but no need to humiliate him, such odd comments. He likes to appear like the tough man doesn't he? Shame the players seem not to give a ****
  22. They aren't in it this year? they finished 7th, and if old uni fancies another go at the Premier league , who else is taking him on? He can turn us into the Villarreal of the Premier league. He's overachieved and I think he was hard done by with Arsenal.
  23. Im tempted to have a cheeky bet on it too, I feel it in my loins
  24. It's about time we got a manager that has managed in high pressure situations. Proven manager, Garde-experiment, di Matteo- Up and coming Chelsea fluke, Bruce- less said the better, McLeish- no explanation needed, Lambert - Unproven up and coming at the time, O' Leary- L**ds, O'neill- proven to a degree had a good profile and did give us a little bit of joy but wasn't used to a high pressure big budget job, , Smith -(Walsall and Brentford, no premier league level experience, albeit for the championship it was a big fish at the time). Gerrard- good player. Give us a proven winner of a MANAGER. Someone who knows what managing a big club means, can handle a good budget and isn't totally out of their depth. Potter again is another low resource manager. We need a proven managerial beast a manager that we consider has coached higher than us, this means a Poch (Paris, champions league finals, Tottenham (unfortunately they are bigger than us)) or I like a little shout for Umai Emery, a big occasion manager with a style of play. Like when Everton got Ancelotti we need a monster appointment, none of this promoting managers from lower teams, no experiments, Give us an elite proven manager Villa!
