  1. There's no concrete links at the moment, and no movement it seems - But then ESR hasn't ruled himself out or signed a new contract and is presumably our main target...I'm not saying we'll sign him, but we may not have given up hope.
  2. Same. Good, didn't like it anyway
  3. I recon we've bid low enough for it to be rejected, so that the player makes all sorts of contract demands in terms of salary, playing time and shirt number. The board are that weak at the moment that they've rolled over for ESR, missed out on their main transfer targets (probs not getting them anyway) and meanwhile, we sign Odergaard for our £30mill top end bid - making the Arse board look like a teenagers wank sock collection again. UtV
  4. Unexpected turn in Smith Rowe contract saga The pen at the centre of the story- has a lid on it, which has caused confusion and internal turmoil for both parties. A close source of the player state that he described writing his name, but that no markings were left on the paper. The club have launched in investigation which insiders believe may take the remainder of the closed season.
  5. It's an utter embarrassment. Apart from the pens, which was just normal predictable For me, Saka, Sancho, Rashford, Grealish and Sterling probably thought about how dumb they'd look with a Phil Foden hair style and chose the lesser of two evils
  6. Can't be arsed to read everything that's been said because I'm slightly drunk. But I'm proud of our boys, it's the first time we've looked like a team that could win all the way through a tournament. Pens is a lottery and I've missed them in front of noone so in a euro final you can't criticise, their keeper is a beast. If we can be a team that routiely competes at this level we'll bring it home.eventually
  7. Arsenal still trying to source that elusive pen....
  8. Bit late for that, he's proven his class and now has the nation singing his name to come on. Also, he will be getting subliminally tapped up by the other players on the team to make a move. I guess your ideal would be that he didn't even make the squad in the first place?
  9. No If grealish had started every game and England still got to the final, would everyone be happier?
  10. It's the training against top class forwards too
  11. I'd actually prefer him anyhow
  12. 2 bids means people are serious
  13. I can only surmise the arse don't have adequate funds or skills to procure a pen for the signing of this imminent verbally agreed contract that literally just needs ink to make it legal
  14. Us and the arse must now have played our hands in terms of the contract on offer, so I guess he's waiting for to see if the arse are looking to bring in someone senior to him who will scupper his 1st team opportunities. Let's face it if the arse tick his boxes, he's signing for them, if they can't match playing time and salary he's ours.
  15. He loves them, they love him, verbal agreement agreed. Someone lend the arse a pen
  16. Exactly. He's very much engaged and wants to continue with us, that's for sure. BUT Emile has earned the right to look at that VILLA situation because of the performances that he has produced."
  17. Southgate said something about needing to keep the ball higher up the pitch or something against Italy or something after the denmark game. Or did he? Don't know. But it might mean that grealish is staring.
  18. He hasn't signed yet. Still.
  19. So the verbally agreed contract will be signed in the next 48 hrs now he's back in training. Or....
  20. My concern with the Italy game is that if we leave it till 70 minutes to start trying to win the game, if they score first in this period- they are more than capable of holding onto the lead for 20 mins.
  21. You'd think that a system where the striker drops deep, 2 x CDMs, the CAM is a workhorse that the players on the wings could play with freedom going forward, but it is what it is. I'm not knocking Southgate, as we have desperately needed winning football above all else
  22. Grealish is going to have to improve his defensive effectiveness if he wants to be a starter in this England team. He puts the work in, but he's going to have to show Southgate he can track a player and win it back more regularly
