    I've been delighted with most every signing made so far over the past few years, Cantwell though wouldn't be great. He's already 23. He is decent at best but how much will he improve. He isn't going to be a player to push us forwards I don't think.

    Bailey isn't even in the country so he won't be available surely. Has he had a pre season with Leverkusen? Traore and Sanson will be out too then. Assuming Ings starts as he's probably had a full pre season

    So we will have spent roughly £100m so far. The common acceptance is that's the money for Grealish. We have so far spent that since promotion each summer. If so I wonder how much is left after Ings and Bailey to fill central midfield and maybe winger gaps.

    Odd in that he is 30 and injury prone. Doesn't fit the "plan" that said I highly doubt this is a panic signing. It's just timed to offset what is coming soon

    And it means nothing. They just refuse to play and force a move. The same will happen again.Take your pick from Martinez, Konsa, Bailey etc whoever. Next summer it will.be someone else.

    This is about as uninspiring a signing as Carl Tiler and Colin Calderwood were.

    He demanded to leave. If he wasn't willing to play and strike what options did the club have? They clearly didn't want to sell him.

    It's not going to happen though is it. Catch 22 we can't get there because before we do anyone decent will leave for the ensured thing.

    Exactly and that's what the league is designed for. FFP prevents us challenging for Europe by design.

    One thing is for sure the non Grealish form of last season will see him in trouble by Christmas. Let's hope he has some plans!

    Right he very quickly needs to come up with some new tactics because this season our plan A is no longer an option. What is he going to do I wonder.

    Of we sign him he gets my backing (until he leaves) but I honestly don't see him as being good enough.

    We have no evidence to suggests this will happen. All we can see if constantly losing our better players, again as history suggests
