  1. There was never anything to forgive, he just keeps getting injured. Not really much we can do with that.
  2. Horrific Olsen. Bad decision to leave Ollie on the pitch too. Archer must be wondering what on earth he has to do to play some football.
  3. Maguire's a strange one, he's too much of a bumbling oaf for me to hate him. He's very low on the list of United players I'd like to slap. Fernandes, McTominay and Ronaldo are right up the top.
  4. Olsen is a flappy crisp packets fumble from a set piece waiting to happen. He just reminds me so much of Nyland, looks scared of the ball and isn't at all commanding. I want to be more positive as he's not done anything wrong here but his last 2 showings and his general demeanor don't fill me with any confidence at all.
  5. Accessibility is important! You could certainly reach out to Lee Preece or someone like that from the club and see what they say. Agree it's quite distracting alright
  6. He is the CEO. It's his operation, the redesign is his initiative. If Twitter rebranded (which they probably will do) according to a user poll, and low-key suggested to users via the accompanying narrative that one option might be preferred over the other, would you call me out for suggesting that Musk wanted the big black lightning bolt to replace the cute little bird?
  7. "Whole thing was a foregone conclusion from the start, Purslow et al wanted the round badge back, so it's back" is a personal attack? Interesting definition...
  8. I never stated that Purslow said anything. I suggested that it's clear - as he kick-started this initiative and his fingerprints are all over it (just like the North Stand rebrand) - that he and the club hierarchy wanted a return to the round badge, and they got it. You asked me for "source" to back up my suggestion, and I've shown you how the official messaging is littered with 1982 references and even a blatant suggestion that the round badge could be better than what we have. All before fans were surveyed.
  9. It's not a scientific proof, herr doktor, as this isn't a laboratory, it's a discussion forum. The process as I see it from the very beginning suggests they had an idea in mind that they liked and wanted to steer the fans towards. Simple.
  10. You're late, limpid asked me first. I'll direct you to my reply to him above. Edit: Actually, since we're discussing evidence, maybe you care to explain how my post evidences "hatred" for the CEO? That's a strangely black and white and extreme perspective to hold, and it's quite unhelpful on a discussion forum. I don't think it's appropriate to label everyone who dares question a club figure as being "hateful", do you?
  11. The whole crest redesign process was littered with references to a potential round badge even before the fan survey had taken place. Images of the 1982 win were everywhere. I refer to you to this page for instance: https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2022/august/24/aston-villa-crest-supporters-survey/ The following paragraph is indicative: I would also screenshot the header image on the link, of our 1982 triumph with the round badge clearly visible beside the trophy, but your website only allows a total file size of 300k to be attached to posts, so I can't. Suffice it to say that the above are examples of how organisations attempt to position the option that is favoured by the hierarchy all the way through a "survey" process in order to influence the outcome. It's not hard to do. It wasn't very hard to spot either.
  12. They're both tied, alongside Death and Taxes.
  13. You can't, it was reserved for the eyes of those who dismissed it out of hand
  14. Look at the 1 and then look at the 4. Both of those digits need to be equidistant from the inner (blue) circle above and equidistant from the outer (blue) border beneath, and they're not. The 4 is too tilted on its axis. It's actually really poor graphic design tbh, easily spotted by anyone with an eye for design and just as easily fixed; I'm amazed they haven't.
  15. It's mad. The 1874 isn't even positioned correctly
  16. Fair enough Still find it very hard to fathom that 77% of fans who voted went for the circle badge. But that's democracy for you! We live with what we get.
