  1. Bloody Mary yes, my choice of breakfast fluid in Las Vegas visits
  2. Yorkshire tea so thick you can stand your spoon in it
  3. Are chips on a breakfast a big thing round your way. Mate of mine who lives in bandit country swears blind chips on the breakfast is the way forward
  4. This was not his worst crime, he was a villa supporter up until the age of 19, Then met a girl who was a dog head into Cliff Richard who wore a denim jacket with hundreds of badges of Cliff Richard on it. He then converted to be a dog head. He was dead to me after that
  5. Proppa blues built it mate , not Vile. Queen was allowed to drink in town, William and other Vile in the Shires Mate

  7. Yep, that’s the feeling i got after spending time in their company. Very uplifting on a sad day (for most) Just quoting that part of the post to reinforce the narrative is a bit silly IMO but hey ho
  8. Was not implying you should, just a more general comment about it being something a lot of people would not consider but should as highly rewarding. I know your comment is genuine and thank you for it
  9. We used to call them sweaty fanny flavour at school for some reason
  10. I would recommend taking the time to speak to the old veterans. I for one will certainly make more effort to do so after today. A real eye opener listening to the sacrifice and times they have lived through. A real part of what made Britain great. Bravo to them all
  11. It’s a shame mad Frankie Fraser died, His tour of London I will never ever forget and best value for a pony you could get
  12. The only reason I opted for cauliflower hashbrowns is that I tried one a few days ago and it was delicious, just a bit different. Beans A possible yes but I go heavy on the cherry tomatoes which provides the wet. Soda bread is an Irish thing but once you have had it once it becomes somewhat of a necessity
  13. Baked Potters sausage x 3 thick cut smoked bacon grilled, tinned cherry toms with lashings of black pepper, 2 x poached runny fresh farm eggs, soda bread and sliced mushrooms fried in butter and a cauliflower hash brown. Heavily buttered toast, pot of Yorkshire splash of milk
  14. Cracking day at the Legion so far, they have put on a good spread, a lot of the old boys in full uniform citing their memories of the Queen. Fascinating to hear and listen to these people and their life experiences. Feels very right and very fitting I’m glad I made the effort Would not recommend to 90% of the people who have posted on this thread
  15. Many happy returns of the day
  16. Watched this little gem that I’ve missed. Four exceedingly good stories with the fourth quite relevant. Very good
  17. He’s in surgery now and they are taking his leg off above the knee in case of leg rot Usual course of leeches before to stem the swelling but not successful. Been given a tincture of quinine for the pain and may never ride his penny farthing again, just had update RIP
  18. A bloke who used to knock around with our lots party piece was to suck the blue disinfectant blocks out of urinals. Never had much luck with the ladies funnily enough
  19. When we used to go down that London we used to meet up at the flying Scotsman in King’s Cross.
  20. Impossible to quantify, maybe maybe not but do you want to roll the dice on something that costs £500 million a year and makes 2.5 billion on what you think rather than facts potentially reducing large amounts of money from the economy whilst in an extremely fragile state?
