  1. And here it is all ready to go for tomorrow :-) Not quite the frame I wanted, but it'll do for now.
  2. I'm not sure whether my car air freshener has lost it's smell or whether I've just gotten so used to it's smell that I can't smell it anymore thus leading me to think that it's potentially lost it's smell.
  3. Is that it? You all made me think it was terrible. I didn't realise it was just a shortened version of Rob's catchphrase. I'm relieved, but also disappointed.
  4. You stepped on a landmine here You're all uncharacteristically bashful about this one, it must be bad. Bahaha. What are you selling, Big Issue? Do one.
  5. Don't be ridiculous. So when a couple who lead very busy lives plan to spend a date night once a fortnight together, that's automatically not romantic because it's not 'spontaneous'? The date isn't romantic in itself, the actions contained therein might be, they would however have some degree of spontaneity to them. Why would a Valentines Day date therefore be any different, as it is just as 'planned' but then also potentially 'spontaneous'? Romance can happen on any day of the year, all I'm saying is that I'm happy to participate in a day that is also dedicated to it. Just like Mother's day isn't the only day that I show my mum how much I care about her. But by the same token, I'm still totally up for getting involved in the day and appreciating her.
  6. Mine is IDGAF. But someone will need to PM me about DHUTWU.

  8. I've been away too long and have no idea what that means.
  9. Ahh, the traditional response of someone who wants a reason to not have to do it. "I know! Let's get mad at the commercialism of it." or "Why do I need to be told when to do it" or "I do it at other times of the year" - which is the most ironic, because the people who say that are the ones that never do. Why not join it with it? Guess what, you might enjoy it. No, its the truth. My partner of 20 years agrees. We've never once ever bothered Shit. Now you've passed off your opinion as truth, I'm stumped...
  10. I've seen the Durex Embrace advert 43* times tonight. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6arHkT8iEow Anyone invested? *slight exaggeration
  11. This. I also don't know if it's mixed recycling or general waste. I'll probably have to look and see what bin the neighbours have put out.
  12. I haven't moved in yet, so what you're seeing is a builder.
  13. Poppy Dinsey put it beautifully in her blog:
  14. By doing it with sincerity and without an ulterior motive. Unfortunately, the latter especially, rarely exists. But how do you judge sincerity and how do you know that the person complimenting you just wants bed action and nothing else? Thinking back to when I was clubbing with my mates it was difficult enough to approach a girl without having to worry about showing sincerity. Telling someone that you find them attractive should be taken as a compliment or would you rather men not approach you at all? That's the thing about sincerity though, isn't it? You don't need to try being (or sounding) sincere, if you are, then you are. And it will be apparent to whoever you're talking to. Everyone likes being complimented, so don't let my comment put you off complimenting people. It's the people that do it purely for their own gain, in my case to sell me something, that really get my goat.
  15. Holy shit, the fat one on tonight's Supersize v Superskinny eats 40 slices of bread a week. WTF.
  16. I knew someone would go there...
  17. Here it is. (The white spaces are just where I've blocked out a few words that had my home address in.)
  18. Yeah definitely. That's a proper achievement. The 30th Wedding Anniversary is Pearl - which is a tricky one. Mother of pearl photoframe with a picture of them in? It's my parents Ruby Wedding Anniversary in April, 40 years, madness.
  19. I don't agree that's it's almost completely about the women. I go to a lot of effort for Valentines Day. My boyfriend and I are moving in together in a few months & I've had a graphic designer make a house filled with lots of words that mean something to us & I've printed it and had it framed. It's about everyone making an effort. Ahh, the traditional response of someone who wants a reason to not have to do it. "I know! Let's get mad at the commercialism of it." or "Why do I need to be told when to do it" or "I do it at other times of the year" - which is the most ironic, because the people who say that are the ones that never do. 20. Haha. My fella is 6'7" and I'm 5'3. You're never too tall for love.
  21. My favourite day of the year is just 2 sleeps away. Yippee. I've always loved Valentines Day, whether single or in a relationship, I just think it's ace. Some of my earliest memories include my mum driving me to where my crush lived when I was about 10 and I ran out, quickly put a card through his letterbox and ran straight back to the car, blushing. I'm awaiting the onslaught of moaners here (on Villatalk, surely not...) but does anyone have any nice plans for this Friday?
