    It’s official, Mrs. MNVillan and I just booked our flights. Hoping to see Palace on November 27 at Selhurst Park and make our pilgrimage to Villa Park on November 30 to see us beat Man City. All that’s left now is getting tickets sorted.

    Listen, I’m American. I had no skin in the game except for supporting England because of you lot and Jack/Tyrone. But holy **** is Southgate a joke. Seems like he got absolutely every decision wrong. Bringing on two players cold to take pens, both miss. Score and sit back for 60 minutes to allow them the inevitable goal. It’s not just benching Jack that he got wrong, it’s pretty obviously much more than that. What in the world is he doing?

    This whole “they haven’t beaten a top side” argument is so dumb. England’s job is to beat the sides on the other side of the pitch from them, and they’ve done everything asked of them. It’s the way the tournament works. I can’t believe I’m an American on here defending the English national team from a bunch of Englishmen. England has been the best side in each match they’ve played so far, they deserve their place. Bring it home. But please don’t support the Packers.

    I agree with you in terms of aesthetics, but to play devil’s advocate… It’s a dumb idea to change the badge right now as a club on the rise. We’re trying to build an international brand, and are gaining traction. The last thing you want to do in such a situation is change your logo. You can do it once you’re well established, you can change it when you’re at the bottom and want to start a new era, but changing it now kills our recognizability.
