    He jinked to play it inside for the first goal, took the RB out of it and then Shaw could run in and cross to Sterling. The Raheem to Kane and Kane to Jack were just one-twos. Jack made the first goal with the perfectly weighted pass to Shaw. Make no mistake Jack did the hard part for both goals.

    So Beakys tactics was to tire the oppo out with Saka (rather than Foden) rather and then send Jack on for the killer punch with no credit. We were poor before Jack came on and I guess the chant should be ‘Boring, boring England……oh no Jack’s now coming on….it Super Jack, Super Jack, He’s one of our own’.

    I don’t understand the reaction towards Maupay…..it’s baffling. Last season he was 10th in the Prem for Strikers/Forwards in the Xgoal stats. https://understat.com/league/Premier League He was on 13.77 Xg. Watkins 6th on 16.28. Maupay was ahead of Wilson, Werner, Wood, Lacazette…….

    If we’re allegedly willing to pay £40m for Tammy, have paid £33m for Beundia - even though I would like to take a punt on Alvarez - how about a £30m bid for Maupay given he can play up front or AM? I think we missed out on him in 2019/20 when we chose to go for Wes and DS knows him well.

    You’re right but the experience may have scarred him enough not to want to come back to Blighty. One or two bad games and all the flop talk would be straight back there.

    Why don’t we just play 4-4-2 with Tammy and Ollie up front. Jack and Beundia wide. SJM and Luiz central. You can still play overlapping wingbacks and inverted wingers.
