This could be bad news for Rashica....RB Leipzig looking to take Justin Kluivert on loan. https://romapress.net/2020/10/04/justin-kluivert-nearing-loan-move-to-rb-leipzig/ That could just be designed to rattle WB or just shows that they are fed up negotiating with WB. Rashica could find himself at WB for another season.

It’s bizarre. At RB we now have Cash, Guilbert, Elmo and the young lad Kaine Kesler. At LB it really is Targett, Taylor and then looking to one of the RBs to act as cover. Guilbert would be my preference but he’s no Luke Young who was almost a better LB than RB. It’s not good enough imo and a bit silly to go into the season in that position.

Engels is miles better quality than Taylor or Hause to be fair. But will his head/heart be in the right place when for the last 6 months or so he’s probably believed, felt or wanted to be off. i worry much much more about Taylor, then Hause.

But unless you’ve seen Chelsea this season - they’ve got 5-6 different players since last season - I just don’t think you can make that statement. i think Werner is plenty good enough for the Prem but from what I’ve seen of him I think he’s been surprised at the pace and having less time before a challenge comes in and he’s been snatching at shots. Something he’d have faced whichever Prem team he would have joined. But hey, that’s only based on me actually watching him play for Chelsea this season.

I think El Ghazi has received a ridiculous amount on undeserved abuse from our fans. Unless Traore starts uprooting trees in the Prem I can see him getting the same sort of abuse. Its tragic really.

How do you know he’s in a team and has a manager who are not playing to his strengths when you’ve said you don’t watch the Prem apart from Villa games and we’ve obviously not played Chelsea yet?

Did they confirm ‘our bid’ or did they just confirm we’d enquired about him which a million miles away from actually making a formal bid.

So some random person on Twitter says that Rashica wants £75k a week and that somehow becomes a ‘fact’ which Sadiku can conveniently use as a reason for the ‘deal’ falling through. There was no deal, never has been.....all that we can take as a ‘fact’ is that we enquired about the player.....but he will have been one of many many players we have enquired about. Also, we don’t know for sure when that enquiry was.....maybe it was back in January, not now. That I can believe.

Absolutely agree. I mean the guy is a £20m level player ffs. There wasn’t anything in this story beyond the fact that we made an enquiry about him. That’s it, everything else has just been Twitter rubbish.

This guy really speaks some sensational rubbish. There was no ‘move to Aston Villa’ in the first place for it to be ‘off’ now...all we did is enquire about him as we have done with probably about 50 players this Summer. Feels like the guy is being used by WB to give the impression to Leipzig that there is more interest than there actually is.

If anything it’ll be WB lowering their fee once they realise RBL is the only buyer in for him.

I don’t know, but if so then yes.....although they will be paying us a loan fee for this season in addition to the £6m.

If you read my comments I haven’t said that. All I ever said is that our other signings to me seem better. That’s all and just my opinion. Obviously I’m happy we’ve signed him because the club think highly enough of him to sign him and we’re clearly signing a better quality of player these days.

Absolutely, the more goals he scores the more likely he’ll permanently be off our books once the loan is up.

I have to say, hats off to Jota agreeing to his contract being cancelled. I mean it will have been partly paid up but not fully. Shame 1 or 2 other players don’t take the same decision rather than taking the club for every penny.

Who’s said that about Shakpoke? Genuinely interested. The scoring 11 in one game thing is likely to become a millstone around his neck.

Someone posted earlier that DS confirmed we’re not in for Roca. If that’s true I’m frankly amazed. Sounds like the perfect back up to Dougie and with only Burnley and Sheff Utd our apparent competitors I think we’d win any transfer battle. And I’d get shot of Nakamba on loan to Galatasaray or whatever Turkish club apparently want him.
