  1. Thin pete also has a point about Hause, what has he done wrong to not deserve a shot above Tuanzebe. I mean last season Hause when he played was excellent in what little time he had but Smith seems reluctant to play him.
  2. The scuffing clearly shows lol. I think Pete's right we need to start shooting from outside the box, we just don't do it enough and do to much to work it as close to goal as we can.
  3. It's a time I'd of wished my mum and Grealish a happy day since they both share the day together but now I just wish me mum a good day as Grealish I'm done with. I did used to come on and say happy birthday to him, he don't deserve that from any of us.
  4. I was at the sheffield UTD game on saturday and firstly I got to see Conor. Why I'm writing this message is I'm not sure if it's TRUE or not but one of the stewards I were working with was saying Grealish has recently been chatting shit about Villa on social media real bad. He supposed to of said Villa wont ever amount to anything and the reason he left was because Villa arnt ambitious enough and wont ever see europe. Its probably Bullcrap nut it also wouldn't surprise me if his now big head would now say stuff like this.
  5. Tell you what I wouldn't mind sticking Watkins on the wing and see what he can do as our CF with that trickery. But an inverted winger I think would be up his alley.
  6. People see an excellent player in him because that's what he will be. Usually when players come abroad most don't even show glimpses in there first games but Bailey did and he also showed a bit of himself against Chelsea who are a team very tough to play against. Bailey even showed in his first game he has the a ability to change a game. Surely you have been paying attention to him, he won't just come good he will be past good down the line. By rights we shouldn't of even got out hands on Bailey, the usually lot above us cocked it up not signing him.
  7. How many gears does he have that's what I'd like to know.
  8. Grealish was slow as hell and managed to draw fouls, Bailey could do it at high speed, so I foresee him drawing alot more fouls for us if that's what we try get him doing which I hope we dont. I know the refs are moving games on now but the fact Grealish looks for fouls and his play is often slow the refs think he's actually deceiving now. Bailey though when he does it at high speed his opponent won't even realise what's just happened because he will sucker them into it fast with proper trickery and not a sudden movement like Jack did for us. Bailey and his trickery alone is going to get fouls, the prem is full of players who want to chop a player down like Leon all because that dazzle and a player like Leon showing them up to the world and on tv all night is going to get some players raged. I don't think Bailey will be the type to look for fouls, just that opposition will not allow him to play how he wants and that's going to be frustrating for him, Villa and of course us fans.
  9. We need to position ourselves as high as we can or in a couple of seasons someone like City is going to come in for Bailey that a given. Anyone who can dazzle like that against a top player will be wanted soon as he starts doing it at a consistent rate. He will be big for us.
  10. I think he's a good number 2. Performance wise what can we expect when you no1 is playing all the time and theres no way in for a no2 keeper like history shows. Unless something happens to your number 1 then number 2 keeper is just never going to be as good because he just doesn't play. Train all day long thats great but its game time that makes players better and theres no way round for a now keeper to get that game time there never has been unless no1 gets injured or strange things like what has happened to Martinez happens. Steer needs game time and I know a way that the rules could and shouldbe changed to suit keepers and they should be changed. No2s and onwards rot at clubs most i think we can all agree on that, but what if they were allowed to freely go play for another club in leagues below (not same league). The whole loan system just needs slight changes ie allow now keepers and on to be allowed to play for two clubs without the need for a loan to be ripped up and they be sent back to their main club. The one thing I'd had to this different style of Loan would be that the keepers main club is made to pay all wages otherwise they have to follow the normal loan rules. You would most likely find that more of the top keepers would filter down to lower leagues just to keep playing. If clubs had to pay there wages but at anytime had the option to have them back if there no1 gets put out for any reason and then the no2 can return to the club they went to play for game time, really it all works out. Its not a tough one to figure out but players shouldnt be rotting at clubs and if it's one position that does its certainly keepers beyond the no1 position.
  11. The thing is Steer was damned if he did and damned if he didn't because people would equally be giving him stick if he had of come out for the ball and charged the Chelsea player and it still went in. The cause of it all is the problem I'm afraid and Mings was that cause theres no denying that.
  12. Said so many times and il say it again that one main reason McGinn failed was because everything ran through the traitor that left the club. McGinn couldn't himself breathe and find and room to shine and I felt he was very restricted because it was Give Grealish the ball. That's no longer a thing and were now seeing McGinn return to the player we seen when Grealish was in fact out of the team which is fantastic. I hope he keeps on rising, maybe City will end up paying 100 mill for him down the line lol.
  13. I think Mings can't help him self making these amateur mistakes and it costs us points, we need someone better as soon as we can upgrade him and highlight someone who can come in and do what he does but without those mistakes. Thing is everyone singing his praise yet to be a successful team you have to stop these mistakes and theres no way Mings is going to do that now. It's no different to what AEG does at other end of the pitch who defensively bad a d who loses the ball, here we have two players innings and AEG that the club and squad has to move on from to progress.
  14. Was F'in beautiful that was. See how he's dragged down which I fear is going to happen alot to him and what a shame it is because he won't be allowed to dazzle and shine like he should be able to. I do hate tactical fouls because if refs got tough on it all we may find ourself with a team that has a endless supply of creativity and flare despite Jack gone.
  15. It's like having Grealish and Bolt infused together with an extra dose something else I cant quite put my tongue on.
  16. Ain't played for ages and gets landed in the muck by his captain, point the blame where its sposed to go which the second goal was certainly on Mings for his amateur hour bull$hit
  17. Undecided about him, at one point I thought hes be ace for us but not so much anymore. I certainly don't think Edouard is better than Ings or Tammy. He has a season ahead of him to prove he's capable of being a top striker.
  18. Smith was always confined by limited quality players, now he has more available your going to see the book of Smith get thicker. Smith knows what he's doing and he may not be achieving it fast enough for some villa fans which is what concerns me. What would you rather have a plan that is rushed a d most likely fails or a plan that takes much longer, in fact as long as its needed and is successful down the line. We can't do what City did and buy our way to a quarter of a bill team nor would I want that if it went against the rules. We just have to buy into the plan and take the losses and draws with the wins and soak it all up and be patient. Tactically Smith has the ability to surprise top managers and he's had a ton of praise from them also which speak for himself. A 3 mill loss to chelsea doesn't really fit what the score should of been. If we had of tightened up at the right time which is most likely player error then we wouldn't of been in that scoreline. If we hadn't made schoolboy errors then we the scoreline for sure wouldn't of been three nil. Chelsea did not have a easy game but because we were not surgical in front of goal, Chelsea unfortunately came out on top.
  19. Players do have bad games and when a team is losing it's very hard for all the team to be showing. Main thing is he was still out there trying. I do have a feeling we brought a player who on his days kicks ass but its finding that day and it's a similar type of feeling to what we get with AEG. I personally would of dropped the extra money and bought Tammy over Ings but what's done is done now. I just hope we don't live to regret buying Ings where we have a missing player in games if were against the ropes. See although Ings is late 20s and has played a certain way at southampton, he will be coached by Smith to press more, Smith can add that to his game and he's certainly going to have to do it if he's to remain with us. Another reason why I'd of preferred Tammy is that at least he presses much like Watkins does for us and both of them would of been a strike partnership in heaven.
  20. Never really let's the side down and to accomplish that at his age is wonderful to achieve for him. He's intelligent and if this is what we have look forward to much Youth in the coming years then Villa will have much Youth flowing through to the first team.
  21. Waiting for (tossing) to be added in front of salad, to much salad being mentioned
  22. The guy is insane with some of the trickery he can pull off, came on and I have to admit there were times he made some Chelsea players look like they were sunday leaguers. Bailey can do what Grealish does but at top speed and better in my eyes. Can't remember which player it were but I thought the ball were going out for a corner and he stopped it on our line only to do all sorts of trickery. He's going to be one heck of a player and once he and Buendia are together they are going to be tough to contain.
  23. I agree, Nick we have a new follower for the Cult of Tammy.
  24. Mings costs us games he does and that's a fact that we lose points or potential points because of him. It won't be tough to replace him next window, there are so many experienced captain type CB out there. I did say I worried about giving him captaincy because managing your defensive area is certainly different to being captain for the whole of your team. The concentration he already lacks from before today but you add a whole captaincy to his game and it's even more to concentrate on. I think come next seasons window may see us spend abit and bring a new CB in.
