So glad to have City away trip done. Back to the must win home games again. McGinn back and hopefully Emi and Ollie too. Makes us a different team. All going well the starting line up will be: Emi Konsa Carlos Pau Digne McGinn Luiz Bailey Youri Diaby Watkins

Played our second team against a team who have broken every financial rule there is. Forget about it, move on.

I know I’m miserable but I’d love to see someone break both Fodens legs. A proper little scumbag.

We are going to probably the hardest away ground in Europe without 4-5 nailed on starters. That’s a big ask. I’m going to miss the majority of the match as I’m working late (in a weird way I’m happy about that!) See you all at 10.30pm!

The Arsenal City game was a bit of a blueprint for stopping City. But one mistake and they will punish you. I think we need to be solid from set pieces so would go with some size. Emi Konsa Carlos Pau Digne Doug Tim Bailey Tielemans Diaby Duran Out of possession I’d expect that to turn into a 6-2-2 with two of Doug, Tim or Youri filling in out wide. We then need Bailey and Diaby to keep City honest with runs behind when we win the ball back. I think it’s a massive ask to get one point, never mind 3. But the way we dominated in VP makes me think we can take something. And anything is a huge bonus.

Such a build up for a proper shower of shit!

Still can’t quite understand how Ait Nouri got away without a yellow card. There’s no rule that says the ref can’t book both for a professional foul.

VAR checks the badge….. “no pen!!”

Really professional win against a very decent team. Nice to get the clean sheet along with the 3 points.

Doug needs to settle down a bit. He’s trying to make a Hollywood pass first time every time.

So frustrating when the ref stops the game for no reason. Wolves have the ball. If they want to put it out let them.

Another Gordon dive. Another pen!
-
And we’re back to randomised decision making from VAR.
-
Konsa could’ve done with a break for the last 10 days. He better not get injured or I’ll dislike this England team even more.
-
There have been some really embarrassing dives in this game and the worst two have come from England players.
-
This makes no sense to me at all. You can have your hand in an unnatural position now as long as you try to pull it back! I think on these mic’d up shows you have to remember the reason. It’s essentially the head of the refs coming out saying every decision the refs made is correct unless it’s a complete howler.

I was going to say the same thing. I think there’s no way at we see Ty or Emi on a pitch this season. Without the rebuilding of the muscle lost they will both be so likely to get further injuries. Feel sorry for Ty as he’d likely have gone to the Euros this summer!
-
Another example today that we need to buy an aerially dominant centre back in the summer. Teams can see we can’t handle balls into the box and Emi can only do so much. Maybe Ty coming back will fix this problem but we look suspect every time we play a team that can deliver the ball well from set pieces.
