    The press today will win and lose this game. How we play through Brighton’s press and can we catch them in possession in their final third.

    Emery needs to work out how to rest players or this is going to be a long shit season. Hard to pick a MOTM, I gave it to Kellyman as it meant Youri wasn't on the pitch anymore. Two really terrible cup performances in a row now. Play like that at the weekend and Brighton will hammer us.

    So many problems. Dendonker can’t pass the ball. Tielemans looks like an 8 year old playing against men. Olsen clearly has his shoes on the wrong feet. What is McGinn doing at LB?

    I think there are a few players who we need to be rested for this one after Poland, London trips. I’d be trying to figure be a way to rest Konsa, Digne, Kamara and even McGinn. Not sure how Digne can be rested now Moreno is out again. Maybe this: Emi Cash Lenglet Pau Digne Luiz Tielemans Bailey Zaniolo Ramsey Duran

    Luiz is one of those players that I don’t think you’d appreciate until he’s in your team and you watch the 90mins. He has two qualities I don’t think people underestimate. He has a great turn of pace that gets him out of trouble and he’s strong. He’s rarely knocked off the ball, even by much bigger players. To think our midfield two who cost 15m in total bossed their 230m pair! Crazy value.

    Delighted for Ollie! He’s been needing a goal and glad he got it today. Pity we couldn’t get a second and kill the game off but glad to have the 3 points. Can’t say anything about the ref that hasn’t already been said. Beyond useless!

    I see the Premier League app is showing this game is on Premier Sport here in Ireland but it’s not showing up on the TV guide. Any ideas?

    I think we have to get back to basics for this one. Chelsea have had a poor start to the season but are still a good team with some real talent. Emi Cash Konsa Pau Digne Kamara Luiz Diaby McGinn Bailey Watkins I don’t think Moreno is fit enough to start but should be given 30mins. If things aren’t going well we have JJ, Zaniolo, Duran and Youri to come off the bench.

    I still can’t get my head around how poor Chambers was last night. Stands 5 yards off and lets the cross come on for the first. Running in treacle for the second and stands off for the third and doesn’t get the block. He wasn’t the only one who was poor but he was directly involved for all goals conceded. We need to be lining up a Moreno type right back for the January window now!

    That really was as poor as it gets. Almost anyone could be considered the worst player but for me it’s between Chambers and Tielemans.

    I don’t think this will be an easy one. We will need strong characters, I think I’d go with a pretty much full strength team with a few tweaks. Emi Cash Konsa Pau Digne Luiz Bouba Diaby Tielemans McGinn Ollie I'd be looking for pace over physicality here. But I’d go with an extra body in midfield in Tielemans over Bailey. I get people will want to see Duran start but let the game settle down (hopefully we’re a few goals up) and we can introduce him from the bench. I’d like to see Moreno and JJ get some minutes too if possible.
