Interesting you miss out scoring goals! I totally agree though, when we look back at our good teams we had 2/3 midfielders could did your definition and goals. who was the last midfielder we had who did all of those? Not wanting an argument but there's a chance that we criticise players who aren't top draw premier league players when we're not a club good enough to attract those players. Hourihane is never going to be a star man, but he is the type of player who makes a team.

They're totally different styles of players, putting their names next to each other doesn't make it a comparison. Hourihane runs non stop and hassles more than people give him credit for, scores goals. He is never going to have the same influence as grealish because he's not that style of player. ( and not as good)

I think it's impossible ( for better or worse) to judge a lot of players over the last 3-4 years, even the half decent ones were dragged down to sewer level.

He's not a playmaker. He's a box to box midfielder. A good one at that! Comparing him and grealish is impossible. If we played him in his correct position he'd be on 12-14 goals. I love him

Think we need 6 or 7 wins from 12 for playoffs and possibly 10/12 for automatic. We need a good march to leave us in with a chance.

I really like him. He needs to be on the ball more, really impressed with his work rate and obviously his goals. Think he is the type of player who'd look really good next to a quality centre mid. We won't be able to buy a whole team if we go up, he'd score goals in premier league.

Regardless of his team selections / tactics which we all hold our own opinions on. He has changed the mentality of the team, unlike the lightwaeights of the last few years, this team fights til the end. Because I'm older I still view a 2-0 villa lead as a potential draw. This team views a draw as a possible win. I think the team has moved on, not sure if the fans have ( we have longer memories).

Terrible set up which encouraged Preston to attack. Altered at half time, only 1 team in it in second half. I'd take the play offs now if I could guarantee Bruce would start with an attacking line up. But.......

Think that the second place this season will get fewer points than previous seasons which has been 89 and above. That would be 10/15 wins for anyone. Think no one will get that, suddenly if we think 8/15 would get second, I fancy our chances.

We need to win, this should be one of the 10 wins we need for the edge of automatic promotion. Would like a more attacking bench to either grab winner or hopefully rest snoddy and adomah and grealish if we're winning. Would be tempted to put Davis up fron and drop the cdm.

Not sure what a bubble is but.... Sheffutd were the best team in the first half. They are a good team they've been in the top 6 longer than we have. Thought there wasn't much difference in the second half. Utd had a lot of shots on target, how many were actual threats... not many. Thought their crosses were better but didn't lead to a goal. We showed a moment of quality up front, that doesn't negate the quality we showed at the back to keep a clean sheet. We won. Not rose tinted spectacles just a statement. Therefore we were better despite not playing great, but sometimes you can only be as good as the opposition let you be.

Who said they were the better team? I said they were a good team.

That's what's going to get us promoted. Lack of it got us relegated.
