  1. Genuinely thought was a decent line up and formation, tho ideally swap Tish with Westwood, but I imagine Tish isn't match fit yet.
  2. Could be, but if it's found his being a twit then fair play he has to be dropped, he is treating Villa with no respect if true.
  3. Might not be negative, with the wing backs it can go attacking or defensive, gives us options on the fly, decent line up except would rather Tish started instead of Westwood
  4. Just not sure he's actually that good, decent, but he'll never reach the heights he could, and I doubt he'll ever make an England squad. He is too much trouble.
  5. Be hard pressed to find a manager in this day and age that doesn't have multiple sackings to his name whose been managing longer then 5 years.
  6. So he's taken a team that already won games and kept them winning games, what's the instant impact? He's only five games in?!
  7. Also regarding the Sherwood quote, not that I ever saw it, but from a manager of a new dressing room of players, it would make sense to say they are all your players even if they weren't, just to try make them all feel wanted and part of his team. Were they his players... Probably not, seems they were paddy's suggestions.
  8. Woah, hold on, the seasons barely begun, let's see how he eventually fairs come the end of the season. I have to say that 80% of us could take charge of Man City and be in the position they are, did he need to do much tinkering? Not really.
  9. Personally I'd give him the minimum of 20 games and see where we are and how things are going etc, you can't sack someone so soon into such a massive job of turning Villa around, in all honestly I still think we will finish top 6 but even if we don't, as long as we keep the faith and create stability for the players and staff, then come next summer with more spending, we will win the league. if it takes two years in the championship to as we have heard from numerous managers change the losing and poisonous mentality at Villa Park then I'll take that. It's not like RDM hasn't gotten teams promoted before, the guy knows what he is doing better then us, he is a champions league winning manager ffs, let's not write off his credentials, still takes some nous to beat Barcelona over two legs and Bayern Munich in the final.
  10. Was it the managers or the owner tho? Give Lambert money and I think he would've done well.
  11. Rowett or Phelan?! I was hoping with his ambitions and money we could persuade someone a bit better then those two!
  12. I actually think he would be worse IMO
  13. Well to be fair, he probably is, I mean if we can spot it and talk about it, then I imagine a decorated footballer (and coach) probably can spot it too.
  14. People would get sick of Houghton just as fast as they have RDM, Brighton lost to Brentford last weekend and I got told by the fans it's the worst football they had seen Brighton play for years. Maybe looking back Brentford aren't as bad we all thought. Hindsight and all, like the Leicester loss last season.
  15. Lapal, your posts are knocking it out the park! Could not agree more with you.
  16. Not sure there's been that many clubs in a mess such as ours. Its a hell of a job to take on, but he has identified players that we all agree have improved the team, it's literally just a matter of time before we start killing this league, but it will take time, might even be next season, it takes a lot more then shifting a few of the poison on and bringing in a few, a lot of the poison is still there that couldn't get shifted. The club is trying to shift this losing mentality and you can see it's starting to turn. I'm quite excited to see how the seasons going to end and what happens next summer with RDM in charge.
  17. Ask Brighton last season, 21 match unbeaten run start of the season, other teams, boro and Burnley nowhere to be seen.... Who goes and gets promoted, Boro and Burnley.
