Russia and its “Special Operation” in Ukraine

Best done in autumn on maximum setting or in spring on a lighter setting before you sow lawn seed. Mine cost about £100 from Argos.

Buy/hire an electric lawn rake/scarifier. This will remove all the dead grass and rough up the soil beneath to receive the seeds. They are worth every penny.

Last week Russia auctioned 10 year bonds guaranteed to rise above inflation by 2%. Number sold? Absolutely zero. -

Hitler saw the benefit of the EU. He wanted a united Europe with a common currency, common language and a common set of laws. He just didn't want all that complicated democracy, negotiation and diplomacy. -

Irreverentad's Relationship Advice Thread
Mandy Lifeboats replied to irreverentad's topic in Off Topic
I see no problem with a 10 year age difference. But for a 22 year old that is a massive difference. She may be interested but a little worried by the age difference. I echo the other posts on here. Ask her out for a serious date. If she declines you treat her as a work colleague from then on. You might even find the lack of attention makes her more interested. -
Russia and its “Special Operation” in Ukraine

This one needs a bit of explaining. Russia set up hundreds of fake Twitter accounts claiming to be normal Finns who did not want to join NATO. But they didn’t realise that they had confused the word save (to rescue) with save (to download). This led to thousands of tweets saying things like “NATO can not download Finland” and “Finland needs to be downloaded from the Nazis.” The Finish Armed Forces now have a patch showing that Finland has been downloaded onto a NATO disk. -
Have you tried turning his life support off and then on again?

What is your experience of mental health?

Such as? I have been through this. As you get older you do tend to leave things behind. It sometimes needs a concerted effort to add new things to replace them. -
What is your experience of mental health?
Mandy Lifeboats replied to AstonMartyn88's topic in Off Topic
Living with a mental illness is hard. Living with someone with a mental illness is even harder. Maintaining a friendship with someone who has a mental illness is challenging. Look after yourself first. If it's causing you issues then do something about it. Talk to your friend. Explain how he makes you feel. Suggest some boundaries or structure to discussing his mental health. Something very simpe like you want 75% of your conversations to be about topics not connected to his mental health. We've got mental illnesses. That sometimes means we don’t appreciate the full picture and make bad decisions. Help him by explaining the full picture and make good decisions. -

If Russia objects to depleted Uranium - let’s send over undepleted Uranium instead. You’re welcome. -

I am not arguing with myself. My standpoint is perfectly consistent. USA have committed atrocities in the past. Russia is committing them today. A ceasefire is perfectly acceptable. Russia should start one immediately whilst they get out of Ukraine. A ceasefire NOW would cause more deaths. It would allow Russia to regroup, rearm and recommence their attack at a later date. Let's not forget Russia gave constant assurances that they were not going to attack Ukraine. Why should Ukraine believe anything they say now? -
There are kids that haven't even been born yet that will die before me. Growing old is a privilege that many don't have.

Russia and its “Special Operation” in Ukraine
Mandy Lifeboats replied to maqroll's topic in Off Topic
Very well put @Anthony USA attacked the Serbian power grid and caused suffering for innocent civilians. This was wrong. Russia attacked the Ukrainian power grid and caused suffering for innocent civilians. This is wrong. USA invaded Iraq based upon fictitious WMD in Iraq being a threat to the USA. This was wrong. Russia invaded Ukraine based upon fictitious Nazis in Ukraine being a threat to Russia. This was wrong. -

Ah ...... I see. Its clear now. What Russia is doing is acceptable because what the USA is doing is wrong. I use the same "logic". What the USA are doing today is perfectly acceptable because of what Russia did in Crimea in 1853. -

Russia is right today because the USA did things wrong in the past. Russia have never done anything wrong. But if they did, the USA has done much worse. -

This is the strangest one. The still looks like a mask. The video shows an odd movement at the very end. The walk looks wrong. -

I have seen the pictures and the video. That doesn't look like Putin. The movement is all wrong. -
You are a little too early @Chindie. Easter is not for a few weeks.

Good Sir, thank you for your advice. You can be assured that I am treating your advice with the appropriate level of respect.

A question for the aviation experts....... I have been watching the US Global Hawks since the start of the war. They fly a very predictable flightpath over the Black Sea. East to West. Turn. West to East. Turn. 1. Are they able to fly a more erratic/unpredictable course and still obtain the data they need? 2. Can it be moved in real time in response to a threat? Or is there a significant delay between the pilot giving the command and the drone executing the command? -
You have just repeated the exact thing you claim you didn't say!!!!!!! Diego Garcia was not "found" by the UK. It was found by a Portugese captain working for Spain. The island was settled by the French.
