Wont last 5 minutes on loan - Needs a manager like Emery to nurture him. You put him in a lower league in the EFL and the boys will rip him a new arsehole. Can picture him walking in now with his bully big bollocks attitude and rubbing everybody up the wrong way. As fans I actually think we’ve wrapped him up in cotton wool a bit. Imagine we saw Watkins throwing his arms around after he’s been challenged and not tracking back. Dithering around instead of covering passing lanes. The stands would be all over him. I’ve defended Duran time and time again, I like him as a player and want him to stay but while we can forgive footballing development, his mentality issues are the bigger concern and he needs to mature quickly if he’s to have the career he’s capable of.

Honestly and truly believe he will come back an absolute BEAST. His attitude during injury, the hunger, support and work he's putting in speaks volumes for type of person and player he is.

Some fans needs to learn where to draw the line - It's a disgrace. Nobody has the right to ridicule any player without knowing them or understanding key factors and details. Infact, while I'm here, most of us know **** all about football business, agents, players lives etc. Let's talk less aggressively about what we don't know. Helmets.

he could always fall back on his work rate and work off the ball under Smith, Gerrard. But he doesn’t need to do nearly as much of that under Unai, so when he doesn’t score he hasn’t anything to fall back on. Don’t think he was too bad tbh.

Watch the teams around us play, we are not at their level consistently. Throw eggs at me, but I am afraid our performances have peaked this season. Our discipline is the worst i think I’ve ever known it, too many off days. We have a great style of play, but we need to manage games better. Last 5 minutes and Emi’s still got his foot on the ball, running down the clock against a supposed relegation contender? We talk about not needing to do business, yet you take any one of our key players out and we’re completely disjointed for large portions of games (Pau, Digne, Kamara) Would take 6th at this moment, honestly
