for those of you that think that ciaran clarke is good enough you are not living in a place i like to call earth!! ask yourselves these questions!! can he pass a ball? no is he good at man marking? no is he a good tackler? yes is he clumsey? yes is he good at organising the defensive line? no can he break into the irish int national setup?? NO they prefare john oshea!!!! has he come under the eye of mon as irish manager?? NO has he been prone to mistakes?? yes positives?? he got himself 2 goals and 1 assist last year other than that i think he is are defence weakest link therefore i dont know why we rate him so highly!!

i think he is a good player but i still feel that we need to prioritise a cb and i think if we sign him a possible move for a cb in return could be jeopardised!!!

clarke i know him for being a very rash in challenges and i think libor could vouch for that! too much of a liability seems to be always prone to doing something stupid. okore i cant make my mind up about him but for wat ive seen not much has stood out to impress. we need to streghten this area as i think its the teams current biggest weakness and it would be a terrible shame because i do think that this squad could make there mark and it would be a huge let down if we didnt try to streghten and as a result conseded allot of goals!! Clark came on leaps and bounds last season, the injury to Libor happened a long time ago now. yes i agree but even still i find a player like him could be replaceable i rate him to play alongside a key central defender or even be a back up you cant tell me that you think clark can be the inspiring centre back that is going to lead our defense and be the key player for that position. your mad because i wouldnt even rate him as one of the top 20 defenders that are currently in the league.... Totally agree with the sentiments about who we should sign and where Stoke are today relative to us. Its a sad fact but they are more successful at the moment. We may have a bigger history but so do many other clubs. Given some of the posts on this thread it would not surprise me one bit if links to it were being posted and laughed at on a Stoke forum. Echos of us with Leicester last week? Good signing for us but I seriously doubt it will happen and not where we should be spending our money. totally disagree with you there i think quality in the right mid has to be improved significantly if we can get a talent like this could be the final piece to the puzzle to the creativity and attacking sense to our team we currently dont have a quality rw or rm!!!

definately think he will start for us in the opening game tim seems quite fond of his ability and his attributes that will fit in to sherwoods game quite well he is no doubt a starter for me but as what often does happen i could end up being surprised whether it will be a good or bad thing i dont know but i definately cant wait for game time against bournemouth either way!!!
