    Come back from a few hours out, all excited to see what's happening... and nothing, nothing at all. Still sounds like we're after another striker, but if Sky Sports is anything to go by not a whole lot of movement on that end.

    Bowen on his way to West Ham according to Sky Sports, medical incoming. Nothing regarding Villa so far. Deal worth £20 Million, more than was being thrown about.

    Not Sturridge please, anything but him. Rather take Benteke over him these days. That said, not a whole lot of options out there it feels.

    According to Sky Sports we, West Ham and Burnley were interested but have moved onto other targets.

    Not holding my breath to be honest. Once the window is closed at least the club can get on with it.

    I'm officially sick of hearing about Bruno Fernandes, I know in every window the sports media have a hard-on for one possible transfer and Fernandes seems to be that this year but can they please give it a break. Acting like he'll solve all of United problem. Sorry, at to rant a little.

    I agree that the current financial situation in football is broken. You only have to see how lower clubs struggle just to survive, I hate seeing clubs with passionate fans and a lengthy history go under. The current system benefits those that are at the top financially in football and it'll probably stay like that for decades unless things change. Don't get me wrong, I get why it was introduced but I can't see how there aren't better alternatives worth trying. It's not like some of the top clubs in the world are financially stable anyway, I remember reading a while back that Barcelona are heavily in debt. At least we still have Football Manager to dream.

    I don't see the club pushing Barry for the first time. That said if we don't bring in another striker he may have to fill in as an attacking option.

    Confirmed, all down to permits etc now so won't be ready for Watford. I'm just happy we finally got another striker in the team. Welcome Mbwana!

    Can't say I've heard of him, but it's not like we can be to picky right now.

    Wasn't exactly happy with our striker options at the start of the season, one of the areas I think the club got all wrong. It's only gotten worse since then and Wesley's been average at best, certainly not worth the money the club paid. Honestly not to keen on Benteke returning, though I doubt he'd be any worse then Wesley. Who knows what the rest of January will bring however.

    Laughable, we're linked with Jermaine Defoe every bleeding year it's almost a tradition these days. He could be 80 years old living in a car home and the papers would still link us with Defoe.

    I really hope we don't get Benteke. Watched him for Palace when he's played and he's been bloody awful, looks like he doesn't even want to be there. No wander they want to get rid of him. Not sure what's happened to him since he left us but he's a quarter of the player he once was. Rather see them go for that young Arsenal striker.

    I know it's not exactly a tough opponent, but Mings as looked very calm and confident at the back. Impressive.

    England had training matches tougher than this. England even fouling themselves here.

    This whole match as been distateful, Bulgarian fans have been absolute disgrace. Mings had a solid showing though, some good forward runs. But the whole atmosphere is awful. The quicker this is over the better IMO.
