  1. There will still be people come on here and try to defend him. Should not get anywhere the squad from now on, no more chances Remi his time here is done.
  2. This only serves to prove just how dire we have been in the last few years and nothing more. And yes in my view it's mental that he starts right now. IMO
  3. Again i say Here Here, your bang on the money although there will a few be on here shortly to try and defend him once more.
  4. Here Here, it really beggars belief it really does. And yet people will still try and defend him. I have no axe to grind with this man, he just ain't very good. IMO
  5. I thought the formation actually worked pretty well, Gabby and Ayew as wide men both showed some appetite to cover for their full backs when necessary and Grealish then got a bit of freedom in the middle behind Gestede. It was noticeable that after the substitution, Gestede had to stop trying to flick the ball on because no one was running into the space behind him, I thought Gabby did okay. Ayew was the pick of the four attacking players I think, but Gabby was fine. I think you'll find he was bang average OBE, but then again that's all he can be. I am just hoping that we finally get a manager who can see the bigger picture and finally bench him for good.

    New manager

Personally i would give it to Nigel Pearson out of the names being banded around at the present. This man does not suffer fools or time wasters gladly and would at very least have every player chomping at the bit when they cross the white line. Clearly not media/ fan friendly but if he could just save our skins then i'd take him in a heart beat. Don't fancy his chances much however not with some of the dross we have right now. I still have some sympathy for Tim because it's looking more and more likely that he wasn't totally responsible for player recruitment [ maybe we won't ever have the full facts] and i just don't believe the players that have been bought in are good enough or have shown me that they are likely to bridge the gap, i'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can prove me wrong. What i would really love to see is someone with a villa tradition take the post, lets be honest we all would really want this, for me its how we roll. Maybe i'm being romantic but Peter Withe/ Gordon Cowans and Big Ron in an advisory capacity appears great on paper. I know before everyone reaches for the keyboards there is little premier league/managerial experience with Sid and Peter Withe, hence Big Ron could prove a more than capable sounding board.
  7. I think you'll find that would be playing two Donkey's up front then.
  8. Always a passenger. I guess if you can't be very good, you may as well be very lucky. For the life of me i just don't know what he's done to have earned a sudden recall to the starting line up. It seems like every time he either gets injured or on the very cusp of being dropped, someone else gets injured, red carded [ Benteke spuds] or the team play appalling whilst he is injured and therefore provide him with an easy route back into the team. Like i say better to be lucky!!!
  9. My thoughts are who could do any better with the pile of tripe we currently have?. What no one has yet convinced me of is who is really in charge of player recruitment? if the signings are purely down to Tim, then yes he should go, however if not then i'd stick because i don't see anyone getting a tune out of our current crop!
  10. OBE please!! with the very greatest of respect.
  11. Exactly my point, your opinion is absolutely consistent and doesn't seem to change dependent on how well or badly he performs. but what I am trying to say OBE is that in my opinion, he doesn't have it in his locker to perform better than he is doing right now. Hence the line " what you see is what you get"
  12. I'm a little surprised that there has not been more activity on this thread given his 45 mins last night, however if anyone needs anymore convincing that it's time to bomb him, I would suggest watching the game again. Now I genuinely wish him no injury whatsoever, heavens above no he is a villa player and to be quite honest I come at it from the opposite view and genuinely hope it was a tactical move by Tim to hook him ( I believe it was injury but not certain. ) All I want now is for him to find himself as far away as possible from the starting 11. He's had more than enough chances now Tim, IMO move on please.
  13. Gary Shaw! now that's a local boy done good
  14. I'll take him in a heart beat, hasn't he moved abroad though?
  15. Out by Easter; i think you'll find my view is fairly consistent and very unlikely to change to be honest with you, as IMO he can't change. What we see is what we'll get going forward.
  16. I see the revisionism of what was a pretty good performance by Gabby has begun. He was by no means brilliant, but he was more than good enough to merit a starting place and a threat throughout - we lost the ability for the ball to stick up front when he went off and it contributed (along with the removal of our midfield) to our defeat. Woody, if you felt sorry for him, I hope you get to feel sorry for him a lot more in future. What happened to Gaby? Watching him when he was a lot lighter you'd swear he was going to be a great player. My view is that he has fallen victim of us just playing crap football season after season. Is he one of those players that only looks good when the team does?
  17. I think he will. Traore----------------Gil----------------Grealish ----------------------Sinclair------------------------- my thoughts entirely............ Fingers x anyway.
  18. Quite frankly I couldn't give a flying fig about any off field antic stories I just don't want him in the team thank you very much. I'm still finding it hard to believe some people thought he was better than average on Sunday. He will start against the baggies simply because Ayew and Gestede have yet to show they cut the mustard either, but hold on Gabby fans don't take this as a compliment I'm just keeping everything crossed that somehow Traore's fit and takes his place in the team. I've already stated that I believe goals will be at a premium again over the course of this season unless Traore' can deliver for us, and this is a big expectation for someone so young and with no premier league experience
  19. I absolutely agree Tim should get on the phone and ask him, much as it goes against the grain to pander to a well and truly pampered professional footballer. IMO
  20. your are kidding right? A really good game. For goodness sake he was no more than average. It strikes me that Gabby fans are just waiting for any type of performance to boost him up. And for anyone to say that nothing stuck when he went off is simply laughable, what I will say in his defence is that he was no worse today than any of our other strikers and this should be a huge concern for all of us. I fear goals will be at a premium from our strike force this season and the expectation on Traore's shoulders is building rapidly
  21. yep said it a few days ago, he's the epitome of it Ok I'll bite. In what way? The question is open to anyone who wishes to answer. Doug, please! You've watched him enough now.
  22. Here, Here, lets just hope it's a way of softening the blow before benching him. Although i'm not entirely sure this is the case. And like you this worries me a great deal.
