    If we can somehow grind out a point tomorrow it would be an amazing result. Would also ruin Arsenals title hopes too as a bonus. I can’t see it happening but one can hope.

    Yeh I heard about how much of a shambles that is in terms of the club making money. Sounds great for fans though.

    Yeh that’s my problem and a different one. But the point ain’t the pint. Edit: can still watch the game on the screens although there’s a slight delay.

    Its not great but if I go at half time I’d get the beer and have drank it 10 minutes in to second half so balances out going early. The point is a person shouldn’t have to go at 35 minutes to have a chance of getting any sort of half time refreshment.

    It’s why many fans can’t see things like having ladies toilets only on one side of a stand is not good in this day and age. So much change needed at the ground. But that’s another topic. Still think the atmosphere was decent last night though.

    We all know it’s pissed up fans that make the most noise. But the problem is nobody can get a bloody pint at half time. If they sort that out the second half will be rocking !!

    I went on 35 minutes to get a pint yesterday. The queues after the 40 minute mark in the upper Doug were a shamble. Went all the way down the concourse.

    I’m still trying to understand why VAR isn’t asking the ref to look at the foul on Watkins again. It’s as blatant a foul as it gets.

    It is a strong squad but I still don’t think it’s a top 4 squad. We have overachieved and Unai and the players deserve a lot of credit regardless of how the season ends.

    Oh yeah 100%. We never really had a squad to compete for top 4 and win a European cup when everyone was fit. The fact we are still doing it with so many key players out and others having to play every minute is amazing. It’s why I said I don’t think we will see many good performances from now until the end of the season. It’s all about grinding results out now.

    I was one of these and it’s because of the way they have policed it. They block Witton lane so you have to go all the way around the ground to get to Witton station and then wait even longer to get on the platform as the away fans have to get on first. If you go Aston it’s carnage too due to the extra fans having to head that way. I get fans should stay until the end in big games but people don’t want to spend hours getting home either.

    I personally think overall the reactive English crowds make for better atmospheres. In Europe you can sometimes get a disconnect between what’s going on in the pitch and the crowd. Like there’s just a concert going on in the background whilst the game is playing,

    I left early to avoid the carnage of the last Ajax game so can’t comment on the end but have no complaints about the atmosphere during the game. The Holte end was very loud last night.

    If we don’t make Champions League it will obviously be disappointing after coming so close but it is what it is. We’ll just have to win the Europa next season instead.

    He’s a full back isn’t he? Been some great short fullbacks over the years.

    I’ve said it before but I personally think we don’t get on the backs of the opposition enough. A bit of booing when they have possession, cheer and mock every error or misplaced pass, Cheer every Villa challenge etc. We can give our players a lift but we can also impact the opposition. Ultras in Europe are great when they sing all game but it can sometime get too separated from what’s going on on the pitch, like a concerts going on next to a game.
