    It is a strong squad but I still don’t think it’s a top 4 squad. We have overachieved and Unai and the players deserve a lot of credit regardless of how the season ends.

    Oh yeah 100%. We never really had a squad to compete for top 4 and win a European cup when everyone was fit. The fact we are still doing it with so many key players out and others having to play every minute is amazing. It’s why I said I don’t think we will see many good performances from now until the end of the season. It’s all about grinding results out now.

    I was one of these and it’s because of the way they have policed it. They block Witton lane so you have to go all the way around the ground to get to Witton station and then wait even longer to get on the platform as the away fans have to get on first. If you go Aston it’s carnage too due to the extra fans having to head that way. I get fans should stay until the end in big games but people don’t want to spend hours getting home either.

    I personally think overall the reactive English crowds make for better atmospheres. In Europe you can sometimes get a disconnect between what’s going on in the pitch and the crowd. Like there’s just a concert going on in the background whilst the game is playing,

    I left early to avoid the carnage of the last Ajax game so can’t comment on the end but have no complaints about the atmosphere during the game. The Holte end was very loud last night.

    If we don’t make Champions League it will obviously be disappointing after coming so close but it is what it is. We’ll just have to win the Europa next season instead.

    I’ve said it before but I personally think we don’t get on the backs of the opposition enough. A bit of booing when they have possession, cheer and mock every error or misplaced pass, Cheer every Villa challenge etc. We can give our players a lift but we can also impact the opposition. Ultras in Europe are great when they sing all game but it can sometime get too separated from what’s going on on the pitch, like a concerts going on next to a game.

    I’ve been amazed by the intensity Arsenal have played at all season without too much rotation. The home crowd seems to give them a lift too. I’d be amazed if we got anything from this game but with them having Bayern a few days later you’d think Arteta would make some changes. They also score a lot of goals from set pieces and we seem to concede a lot from them. A point would be a great result. Either way I still think we finish 5th and make champs league that way.

    I might be bringing my 9 year old to this game so we could potentially both move over. Shes moaned before about there not being enough singing. Any chance you can maybe DM what’s planned ? Thanks.

    We sold out against Brentford so those empty seats were season ticket holder seats that couldn’t make it. I was unable to sell my seat so gave it away. The 30k waiting list is probably real but how many people just join the list but would never buy a season ticket if got a chance? In terms of the atmosphere it’s hard to understand why it goes so quiet. I sat Trinity for the first time in a while against Wolves and was shocked at how quiet it was compared to where I normally sit in the Doug Ellis.

    I’ve bought tops every season in recent years (on sale) but still don’t wear them because I hate the way they hug my stomach and it sticks out. Never had that issue with Adidas shirts so looking forward to the new kits. Might even pay full price if the fitting is good.

    What’s chances of West Ham beating a Bayer team that has already won the league and took the pedal off the gas a little ? Took them 2 stoppage time goals to beat a 10 man Qarabag team. Bayer and Dortmund getting knocked out would mean 5th is ours right ?

    Apart from the booking for Davis at the start and then not giving blatant penalty he was good. Really surprised VAR didn’t tell him to have another look. edit: Just seen it again and Saka defo sticks his leg out so can see why VAR didn’t get involved.
