    He’s one of the main reasons we are losing by the odd goal instead of worse. Reminds me of a centre defensive midfielder that was probably our best player the last time we went down. Hopefully we can keep hold of him.

    Thing is Smiths probably the right manager for the championship. It’s a tough call for the club at this stage.

    Good post. I think it’s unfair to blame Smith but I think you have to question whether he’s the right man for such a big job. I like Smith and always grateful for what he has done. But we don’t seem to be seeing progression. That’s when change is needed.

    Ah I get ya. Bowen’s a good player. Crazy money but I think the age paid a big part in that. He looks one of their best players.

    I actually think he’d do alright in the championship. If Adomah can thrive in that league I’m sure Trez can. edit: which midtable championship team has ever paid 9 million on a winger?

    I think he looks a decent player, lot to learn but much better than Taylor with room to grow.

    Hate to say it but can’t see anything but a defeat. They are much better than us and are one of the top teams in the league. Had they not had so many games this season they’d be even higher up I reckon.

    I honestly think Jack is only player that goes if we go down. The rest aren’t going anywhere unless there are stupid offers.

    I was really bitter about the palace game but I think the Sheffield United game sort of cancels that out. The spurs one could come back to us haunt us though.

    I’d say West Ham have the biggest cause to say it after the money they have spent in recent years.

    Hause and Konsa to blame for me. It was pretty poor around. I get nervous with Hause as centre half every game. He’s always got a blunder in him.

    They may want the record but when you win the league mentally it changes. Plus there will be a lot of celebrations. This is very good for us.

    Yeah all this ‘his heads gone’ and ‘he’s got his move’ stuff is bollocks in my opinion. He is doing his best and is still our best player. He just isn’t this world beater that some fans made him out to be. He can’t do it all by himself. He is still crucial to us having any chance of staying up though.

    Tbf I don’t think we were that bad that game. We just didn’t take our chances and had a comical moment of defending as always. Savage was blaming Mings. I blame Hause. If Mings has gone over to the left then why does Hause have to follow? Was an embarrassing goal to concede. BUT we’re still in it! That’s what counts.

    Whilst he still looks our best player I think it’s starting to show how much we overate him.

    At least we didn’t lose. I have to ask. If Jack is an 80 million pound player, What is Saint maximin worth? Swap him with Jack and we win that game in my opinion. Our star needs to do more. At least Luiz is showing his potential.

    It’s easy to forget that every team around is us as shit as us. It will come down to who’s the least shittest over the next 8 games and right now it’s back in our hands. Coming on VT after match day makes me feel like relegations already been confirmed.
