He is very well spoken and comes across intelligent. I’ve listened to what he said and i can’t see where he has said the next FA chairman should be black or a women. Did he even say this? I thought he was very careful in the way he expressed his views. The BBC headline is unacceptable really. He is able to highlight and discuss important matters in a very articulate manner. He is almost becoming a bit of an ambassador for change. It’s important for players that can do this to use their exposure for good. Breath of fresh air in my opinion and a great role model for kids. Rather that then the negative ‘what’s the point’ attitude Danny Rose used to have. Not a bad centre half either.

In some ways yes. Southampton have been very successful at it to. Then you have teams abroad like Dortmund and Seville that have done it for years. Having to sell your best players isn’t always the end of the world as long you get paid big money for them and reinvest every penny.

True but as long as we reinvest wisely we can grow. Similar to Leicester and even Spurs to an extent. They spent all of the Modric and Bale money on continuing to build a decent squad.

City’s priority next season will be a striker. They will break the bank for one.

Good article. A lot will come down to injuries and suspensions. Lose one or more first team players and we are significantly weakened. Hopefully we sign one or two players in January to improve quality in the squad.

I personally thought it was a nice touch for Southgate to have a little chat with a 19 year old kid that scored an own goal on Sunday.

You know what. I was thinking about the start of our season and no doubt we’ve got some quality players and one of the best in Jack. But you don’t just turn over both Arsenal and Liverpool without some very good coaching and tactics. Hats off to Smith and the coaching team. Long may it continue.
