Laughably ridiculous overreaction. There really is no reason to say it tho. Not a great way to motivate your player. Especially a young lad by comparing him to someone else who didn't make a mistake. It's not 'normal'. Some players come and hit the ground running. Others dont and take time. If all of our new lads take a season to get used to the league then we're in danger of going down. Again. Granted, amavi has hit the ground running but the rest are already being labelled with the 'Itl take time to adjust'. Only Ayew and Veretout need time. The real problem is being afforded the time for the team to gel. That is the problem there are a few who are very impatient and don't have the wisdom or inclination to do that. But that's true for all clubs I presume. I personally don't think we will struggle as before. Very optimistic that once we gel we will get even better.

That is true but apparently because in some 'fans' eyes they are too good for us. You know the team that although for the last 4-5 years has struggled and had a bad time is still a huge club in the eyes of non UK based players and clubs. Not it seems a team that hopefully becomes good enough to maybe turn things around and be a club that's just right for these 'too good for us' players.

I really wish but doubt it will ever happen that our own fans one day stop with the crap about being too good for us. What Tim and Wilkins and the rest are trying to do and hopefully succeed is to make Aston Villa good enough for the better player want to be with us. It's enough the media and other fans put us down at each and every turn, makes it worse our own fans do it too. Saying too good for us IS putting this great club down. Was at this game but mate text to say that at one corner their defender had his arms round micahs neck and should have had a penalty. He causes defenders problems at set pieces. ALL the team need time to gel as a unit. Once they do they will get better. Micah is better than baker vlaar and senderos so a big improvement in defence.

The Dr sums it up to a tee there. Needs time which he will get from the manager and back room staff but not I fear from some 'in the know' who can tell from the first game or two.
