  1. There's always positions you'd like to see more players. I'd personally love someone like N'Zonzi in along with another wide player, but the priority above all else still has to be a striker. We're currently a training ground injury to Samatta away from being completely devoid up front again. Plus there's no guarantee he will hit the ground running so we have to maximise our options in that position above all others currently.
  2. Hogan tried his best, and he's also desperate to try and get first team football somewhere to rebuild his career. He wasn't good enough, but it wasn't for lack of trying. The same can't be said for Ross...
  3. I think Hull would be crazy to accept that Leeds offer when they can extend his contract and accept a bid in the summer if they need to. They're only 3 points off the playoffs
  4. Not really, I'm just very bored in an empty office so thought I'd post something immature
  5. Strange, imaginary people are usually so agreeable
  6. Signed in time to play up front tomorrow?
  7. I can't stress how much I would want this to happen. The logical side of my brain says it's complete garbage, but I can't stress how much I want your optimism to be proved right
  8. This would be unbelievable if true, but if people think the Piatek move is unlikely, then this one is a virtual impossibility!
  9. I can't see it being done in time to be fair, but imagine the scenes if it is. Regardless of whether you rate Slimani or not it would just be nice to field a striker in the Brighton game!
  10. I've just goggled it and he signed a 4.5 year deal when he signed, so he has 3 and a half years left!
  11. I mean if the guy is happy just picking up his money and not paying then I've no sympathy for him, but the impression I got when he joined us was that this was his big chance in England and he wanted to seize it. Going from 1st to 6th choice in a calendar year must be pretty demoralising. That said, there's plenty of players who are happy to just sit on a bench or in the reserves collecting wages, and if he's one of those then my sympathy would evaporate.
  12. On the subject of possible departures, I find it amazing Kalinic is still here. We seem so willing to take a loss on him and he's still an international keeper, but there's not even rumours about him leaving, and he's now technically 6th choice! I actually feel sorry for the guy.
  13. After Samatta I can only see us signing 1 more, at an absolute push maybe 2. 5 is sadly very wishful thinking no matter how much they're required.
  14. This is a fair point. I think the bigger argument going in to the season was the quality of the players. Wesley, Kodjia and Davis looked a weak set of options and we were really relying on Wes hitting the ground running. I think that is more short sighted than the fact none of them are currently available. Injusries are part and parcel of football, and unfortunately they've hit us hard, but if you only plan on 1 up top, starting a season with 3 recognised forwards isn't unreasonable.
  15. *Disclaimer* I'm in no way affiliated with that account, who clearly just make stuff up all day long...
  16. knowing our luck we'd aim for Pulp Fiction Travolta and end up with Battlefield Earth Travolta instead
  17. To be fair £22 million is the equivelant of about £5 million before Neymar and the new TV deals broke football.
  18. Whilst I do agree with this, I personally fail to see the hype with some of the places players and their families find so desirable. Has anyone actually been to Milan? I went a few years ago for a long weekend and I have to say, for a city so 'renowned' for its culture, it was a bit of a graffiti laden hole.
  19. You can use stats to prove anything. 78% of all people know that.
  20. There's still no peace for his family though. He still won't shut up.
  21. it's not hard to be better than nothing.
