  1. I love that the Mail have been publishing loads of articles online about Cahill joining and then their employee says he isn't. It is almost as if they have no clue what is going on...
  2. Signing Targett is instantly worth it. Southampton have just taken our cash and had a bid accepted for Che Adam's.
  3. It seems like a lot of money for a left back and prior to Neymar breaking football it would have been. But in the current market I think it's a fair price for a 23 year old English player with premier league experience and the potential to grow. Look how his form improved when he was first choice at Fulham.
  4. Signing Austin would be the equivalent of when we signed Richards and Lescott. We just dont need any more players like that. Yes he could score a load of goals for us as I actually think he has a lot of ability. But he also has paper mache for a knee. One knock and hes just draining our wage budget needlessly. We need someone who we can rely on being fit if Wesley gets injured/suspended/struggles for form
  5. Thousands of Tonev's. That is a terrifying image for anyone sat in Row Z
  6. If we had the budget to stretch to what he'd cost for a left back and if he'd come yes. But those are both big if's, and I think Targett is probably more realistic for us this window.
  7. There does need to be some more sofishticated puns being used.
  8. Or just add Hogan to the deal and keep the cash at £12 million
  9. This could well be the best post in this entire thread. Bravo
  10. I certainly think that some of the players we've been linked with such as Webster or Benrahma would be great signings if we could get them in, but for the fees being touted I'd be amazed if Suso hasn't got alternatives from the continent to consider as well. My only concern with foreign signings is their time to adapt. We just need to get these guys in with enough time to settle in to English football if we do bring more players in like Wesley. You don't want the core of the team just getting into their stride when we are halfway through the season.
  11. So you either know something or you're a glutton for punishment!
  12. This deal sounds like a Daniel Levy wet dream, I can't believe it's actually real!
  13. When are the players actually back for pre-season? The game in America isn't until the 18th July. In an ideal world you'd want at least your core signings in for day 1 of pre-season, but when is that? I know some clubs are back next week, but surely that's way too early for us based on our schedule of games
  14. It also shows the player that the buying club is serious about signing them.
  15. No idea how many bets have been placed, but on Oddschecker it states 83% of the popular bets on him are on him joining Villa, so it could easily be the quantity of people placing bets on him joining over the amount of money that's brought the odds down.
  16. Newcastle's form seemed to pick up when they had injuries and Hayden got a run of games too
  17. I agree with this. Hayden has made it clear he wants to leave too so now might be a good time to put a bid in
